Looks pretty new to me. I was wondering if we'd see another DB transfer with all of the incoming talent. I liked watching Sy Dabney, but it didn't seem he was going to be in the starting 11 when you look at the roster.

I believe I read that if you have 7 or more portal entrants, it increases your allowance for Incoming roster spots. I suspect a few of these portal entrants have no desires to press on somewhere else. They are “doing them a favor” so to speak, by adding their names. I further suspect that’s why guys like Mel Tucker are tossing guys off their team that are decent players and otherwise good citizens…. Making extra spots.

Loeffler said as much. He said there are three recruiting periods now - early signing, February, and post spring. He said they are hoping to sign another couple transfer offensive linemen in spring.

And that makes all the sense in the world to me. I’m sure every program in the country views it this way.

And if we could land a couple more game-ready big bodies between now and fall camp, that would be great.

I think you have until May 1 to enter the portal and remain eligible in Fall 2022; so, anything can happen.

Starts March 23. They just lifting/conditioning now. Spring game is April 23.

I’d stay away from a 6’7” 315 lb Juco player on principle. There are reasons a 6’7” 315 lb kid is in Juco. I have no reason to research it…. I’m sure there are others available, with 3000 kids in the portal…..
