How soon do you think they’ll announce something?

Fields should be in the transfer portal this offseason. I'm not sure if his mind is made up if he is leaving.

I agree about matiss because we need experience for our bigs. Hopefully he gets a full offseason and we can see his full potential. With injuries and covid i feel there has always been something stopping him

I'm not totally convinced he will be.

You always worry that a guy is going to want to leave for a better opportunity (that's just a natural BG emotion across all sports now, I think), but in his message about having to redshirt this year, he explicitly stated that it hurt that he couldn't go to war with his teammates and that he had discussed it with the coaching staff, so it sounds to me like he is a part of our vision for the future. Of course, that did come before the brutal conference season... but I think he sounds like he wants to be a part of winning something here.
