the only game we played this season that we deserved to lose was against ohio state. they are the only team with a player at every position that could take our starters one-on-one. our other losses came because of poor execution on our part. we are a good team and when we are on, we're on.

any good team loses because of poor shooting and such, but if we played the same basketball that we played against some of the better MAC teams, (i.e. marshall) we are unstoppable (falconboy and golfer, i.e. means for example). on friday we need to get hot early, jump out to an early lead and play the same basketball that was played against miami. we closed out that game hardcore. they didn't stand a chance.

Having watched BOTH teams play on Wed., Falconboy is WAY off base(as usual?)...I was impressed with EMU's size..and "physicality"... But Liz Honegger didn't play well for us at all on Wed. and we still pulled away from MU, thanks to Casey McDowell's hot hand and Kate Achter's ability to penetrate, pull up and take quick jumpers... We had a couple of ladies who didn't play to their fullest based on seeing them previously, but our bench came in (Tene Lewis in particular) and did a great job of spelling starters AND even building the lead. EMU may well have the best player on the floor, and Knapp can be a load, similar to Honegger in many ways...but the big girl from Turkey isn't all that tough, just tall (6'3"). Basketball always is a game of matchups...if our guards play anywhere NEAR what we did yesterday, and we get a more consistent game from Horne and Honegger, this should be a great game!!!
