Re: Offseason 2022
Someone on twitter called CBB juice said Huger is out too. Who knows who that person is or if they know more than the first poster.
Re: Offseason 2022
I’d think if they were making a change it would’ve happened….I am surprised no one has officially said he’ll be back. Not that they need to put out a press release, but I think they could confirm it somehow thru a comment or social media. It’s been eerily quiet….
Re: Offseason 2022
Weirdly quiet is right. Moosbrugger has to be the first domino before all is said and done. A simple FOIA into his contract would tell us alot. If May is truly when it expires, then you have a lot of moving pieces. No replacement for Hughes has been hired, so basically no interim in place. Rodney Rogers has a complete mess on his hands. Years of ignoring the issues caught up with him.

Western will hire Michigan's Saddi Washington when all is said and done with this current Tournament run
Re: Offseason 2022
Saddi Washington is huge hire for Western Michigan. This program will be very strong in years to come. Washington is very well connected in the Midwest. I won’t be surprised to see them in the running by MAC tournament time next year. Saddi played on a very good WMU team.
Re: Offseason 2022
FWIW Toledo has four players in the portal so far. A couple who I thought had some potential to make an impact.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Re: Offseason 2022
I think Toledo was looking for room on the roster. All starters return. None of the guys in the portal are that significant. Look for a few newcomers to be added that can play immediately. They have a very good freshman from Columbus coming in.

Fun fact - Saddi Washington beat out Antonio Daniels for MAC FOTY.

Re: Offseason 2022
One of the guys in the portal was significant. I don’t know enough about them to know names, but I saw it mentioned that their sixth man from this season was leaving in the portal, so that’s a significant loss from their bench production and depth.

Re: Offseason 2022
I don't believe any of the players were significant. Toledos biggest weakness this year was their bench (or lack thereof). Yes Saunders was in fact their 6th man, but there was a very clear drop off anytime they subbed. Saunders was a spot shooter that did very little else. In other words, easily replaceable.mbenecke wrote: ↑Wed Mar 23, 2022 6:40 amOne of the guys in the portal was significant. Miami (OH) has fired Jack Owens. Meanwhile, Bowling Green does Bowling Green.
