It works for me. The Twitter link posted the author says he doesn't know the exact specifics of the pay wall. You could try opening it in "incognito" mode.rood wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 7:36 pmAppears to be behind a paywall.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 20, 2022 3:39 pm A look at some of the potential rule changes that will be discussed in June. Hastings appears to be in the running for the BU job. Much as I hate to say it, I'd prefer he stay in our league.

To me, the CCHA needs legitimacy, so keeping Hastings helps the league on that front. But on the other hand, it would be great for the rest of the teams in the league if Mankato would come back to the pack a little bit.

Re: Offseason 2022
IMO it's on the rest of the CCHA programs to commit to being as good as the Mavs, not wishing the Mavs would fall back to the pack. He'd be foolish to leave given he probably has one of the easier paths to the national tournament at the moment. Either the money is good or he's interested in a new challenge.mbenecke wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:02 amThat’s a tough one.TalonsUpPuckDown wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 9:59 am Hastings appears to be in the running for the BU job. +1. Would really love for him to stay at MSU and force the other programs to get better, but I'm sure the money is much better at BU and provides a tougher challenge than the CCHA.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:15 amIMO it's on the rest of the CCHA programs to commit to being as good as the Mavs, not wishing the Mavs would fall back to the pack. That’s absolutely fair. I just don’t know if I can see other CCHA programs (including our own) doing that any time soon, which is a shame.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:15 amIMO it's on the rest of the CCHA programs to commit to being as good as the Mavs, not wishing the Mavs would fall back to the pack. I want so badly for this program to be nationally ranked and relevant. The past few seasons not being in that picture at the end of the year have been kinda disappointing. I’m fully opposed to this program backsliding, so I want us to do whatever it takes to raise our current level and get back in that picture.

Re: Offseason 2022
There's some hope this coming season that things will be better with the returning group of fifth year guys and the two nice transfer additions so far. Ultimately though it's going to be on the staff to recruit well and develop talent going forward. There's still a lot of question marks about how well this group can accomplish that, in my mind.mbenecke wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 10:45 amThat’s absolutely fair. I respect him having the ability to choose to play whoever he wants and wish him well.
But I find the move to be pretty puzzling.

Re: Offseason 2022
Did some digging and Antii Virtanen is leaving UAF, 31 points in 97 games. Very similar to Lloyd's 38 in 104. My guess is TJ ends up being a top pair guy there.mbenecke wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 11:34 amI respect him having the ability to choose to play whoever he wants and wish him well.

Re: Offseason 2022
Hastings is very well paid at Mankato. And the area is fairly "low cost of living" when compared to Boston. I believe someone payed somewhere he had family in Boston area, so it's not a complete shock to the world.

Re: Offseason 2022
I agree with the question marks. We all knew this past season was going to be challenging given the amount of change. We've discussed our observations on X's and O's throughout the season so I won't rehash those. I will say that Eigs needs to show substantial improvement/progress this year. The team is now his and Stavros has a year under his belt so there aren't anymore excuses. Aside from the TJ situation I think the program did pretty well during "transfer portal season." I'm not expecting a league championship next year but we shouldn't be getting crushed by Mankato anymore and we should see players develop/improve over the course of the season. It's gut check time for Eigs.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 21, 2022 11:07 am There's some hope this coming season that things will be better with the returning group of fifth year guys and the two nice transfer additions so far.
