Anyway, 6'1" Day should help the Falcons.

When did Day enter the transfer portal? It was announced back on March 24 that Achter's contract would not be renewed, & Loyola hired a new coach on April 8.

I agree 100% that Day will help the Falcons. Nice to land a 6-1 kid who has been a four-year starter in college.

2 Loyola players entered the portal on March 21.

However, I would bet they entered the portal knowing Achter’s contract wouldn’t be renewed and they didn’t want to play for anyone else there. I think there’s a decent chance that Kate, with no job at that point so her alma mater was her only loyalty, helped steer Day BG’s way.

According to Tony Paul of the Detroit News. Kate will be named the new head coach of University of Detroit Mercy. She is going in to a major rebuilding situation that had severe problems with the prior coaching staff.

Happy for her! Loyola was also a rebuilding job, and she was doing things the right way before she was let go. Considering they got better every year she was there, it was a bit interesting to see her let go - so here's hoping she finds some success at Detroit and brings her Titans down 75 for a game every other year.

I'm not sure I want to have to recruit against Kate Achter, but here we are.

An annual game with Detroit would be great, though.

Kate was let go because Loyola was moving to the A10 and they wanted a more marquee name to lead the program. She really got the short end of the stick there. I think she'll do well at UDM.

Bingo. She came in and did all the leg work, but they felt they needed someone more seasoned to take them to the next level. She really got screwed there.

Wow I missed this news that Kate got on at UD. Good for her. Still think Loyola screwed her but I’m sure there’s always parts to the story we don’t know. Robyn has done a nice job, but if she ever moves on I would hope Kate gets a chance to come “home” to BG

Zoe Miller and Molly Dever (Grad Transfer) both to Ashland. That's 3 former Falcons now on their roster.

Considering Coach Fralick came here from that program, do we think she’s steering them that way?

Really surprised Zoe Miller went D-2. She looked like a D-1 player to me and I was sad to see her leave. I thought she would go somewhere like the Horizon League at the very lowest.

Kate Achter player. Love this addition. She’s 6’1” and can also handle the ball really well.
The Blade published a story on Allison Day's transfer to Loyola Chicago to Bowling Green.

Kenzie Lewis has retired from basketball for mental health reasons. To me, there’s no shame in that. Congrats to her on a great career!

2nd true signee of 2022 is 5'11" or also listed at 6' W Jasmine Fearne out of Harrisburg NC. Her dad is an Assistant for the Men's team at Charlotte. She had recent offers from Buffalo and Campbell. Typical Fralick recruit in that she can shoot the 3 and looks like she runs the court well. Averaged 11.5 PPG and 4.6 rebounds on a good HS team.

Payton Moore, a 5th year senior from DIII Anderson University, has committed to playing at BG as a transfer.

She’s 6’1, and she averaged 15.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game last year, so she seems like a productive player. Let’s hope it translates to this level.
