Is this a replacement for Kevin Tolbert or is this in addition to him?

Morse's position is holistic, Tolbert is still the football S&C coach as far as I'm aware.

Year four from Loeffler and the QB position has been a total disaster with no prospects for improvement in the immediate future. Developing QBs was supposed to be his strength. He’ll play a fifth- or sixth-year guy this season because it gives him the chance for wins that he so desperately needs to save his job this year. This isn’t building a program. I’d be more happy if we won three games and we’re developing a QB for the future, versus the current scenario and winning five games. Clearly Loeffler is not the guy to turn this thing around in my opinion.

Morse has a stellar resume...that NSCA certification is legit.
Confident that he's staying current on effective training modalities

I don’t know about everyone else but I always feel like our guys look smaller than every other team. Football, hoops, soccer etc. hockey may be the only one I don’t think that about.… hope this guy can change things around. Anyone know what strength coaches get paid at BG?

That position trains all the teams. Tolbert trains the football team.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

That’s where I’m at. If the qb play is anything less than good than what was the point of him playing all this time.

Chase Whatton has medically been DQd from football, “for now.”

It remains a possibility that he could return to the game at some point, but for now, he’s going to be sticking around the program as a student coach, and BG is going to honor his scholarship.

Damn, that sucks. I really liked him as a prospect and thought he could be a very solid player here. Glad he is staying on and hopefully he can play again some day.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

TV schedules are rolling out for the first few weeks of the season. BG/UCLA kicks off at 2:30 EDT on September 3rd on the PAC-12 Network. Be aware that some cable, streaming, and satellite providers don't feature the network so plenty of time to find your alternative.

Other kicks:
EKU 4pm (ESPN3)
Marshall 5pm (TBD)
@Akron 3:30pm (12-day selection)
WMU 7pm
Kent State 7pm
@Toledo 7pm
@Ohio 7pm
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
