Bowling Green Over/Under 3.5 wins
Bowling Green Over/Under 3.5 wins
Draftkings opens BGSU at 3.5 wins. Seems a little short of the moon, but the over seems like a good bet based on the MAC East being bad.
Meanwhile, Central Michigan, with the coach BGSU should have hired, is listed at 7.5 wins after last years Sun Bowl victory.

I’d take the over, though I’d like to wait until after the first MAC game to put any money on it. Lol.
This team *should* be better. They return a lot of talent and guys that have actually played - which is something we haven’t been able to really say in over 5 years. But what kind of jump will they really make, and will it matter?
The non-conference slate is tough, so I don’t know how much the record really improves in that way. But if we can be consistent in MAC play, we have a chance to look towards 5 or 6 wins, and the losses hopefully wont be completely non-competitive games.

Buddy and I have some formulations to track expected lines for wagering purposes. EKU, Akron, and Ohio are the only games where BG would be set as the favorite for the upcoming season so 3.5 makes perfect sense.mbenecke wrote: ↑Sat Jun 04, 2022 6:44 am I’d take the over, though I’d like to wait until after the first MAC game to put any money on it. I'm on the fence...I think three is low. anything over four seems optimistic.

O/U of 3.5 at DraftKings was +120, now it's -130, some significant movement that bettors believe BG will "overachieve".

It's not hard to come up with the scenario for 4 wins.
Ohio coach stinks
Buffalo coach stinks
Akron always stinks
Eastern Kentucky

Barstool Sportsbook lists Bowling Green at 100 to 1 to win the MAC Championship.
Meanwhile, Central Michigan, coached by the person BGSU should have hired, is the co-favorite at 4 to 1.

Not as easy as the money SL has been taking...

Isn’t he among the lowest paid in the country? I feel like criticizing the amount of money these guys make is silly.

Also, the man has slept in his office at times. He works very hard.

Pretty much every HC sleeps in the office a bit during the season. Most of them don't publicize that because it's viewed as being part of the job

It takes a lot of time to figure out a weekly install of the Rube Goldberg offense.

Bill Connelly likes the over on BG's 3.5 win total.
