Sigalet replaced by Horrell

Post by graceful »

Anyone know why Jordan was pulled during the second intermission and Horrell was put in goal? Just curious as to the reasoning. I can understand if it is based on being scored on so many times - am hoping it's not related to MS - hope to see Jordan back in goal tomorrow night :)

Why is it that every time Jordan is not in goal, it's blamed on MS? We were down 5-1 and needed a change.

MS will always come up because it is now part of the circumstances surrounding his play. It is unfortunante but it is the world we now live in. After the second goal was scored I turned to a friend and asked if he looked a little slow because I thought he did. Neither of us mentioned MS but it was in the back of my mind. I was surprised he didn't get pulled after it was 4-1 early in the second.

i was not blaming it on MS i'm sorry if it came across that way - however, yes, I was concerned that was the reason behind him being pulled - I would be much more relieved in a sense to know he was pulled b/c of the score

Personally, I felt that something was seriously amiss with Jordan when he got beat so badly 5 seconds into the game. The second goal was a fluke, but that first goal it just looked like Jordan was trying to get back and his legs just weren't responding. I am praying that he will be okay to go tomorrow.

Horrell in for a spark

Post by BG(Hockey)NewsGuy »

They put Jon Horrell in to generate some spark just like they did in the first game at Ferris State. They just felt it was time to make a change in net, not that Jordan played bad, but to try and give the team something to rally around. Horrell is a good goalie and its sorry to hear people are blaming bad play on MS now....Jordan is fine and hes just like everyone else...he has good games and bad and its not related to disease at all. He'll be back in net tommorrow most likely...unless Paluch is making a point.

You are correct in what you said!!! This team took UAF much too lightly and got burned because of it. UAF played exceptionally well and came out flying. We barely showed up. The team we've been watching all year had better come to play tonight or we won't see Falcon Hockey again until October....grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, even the best goaltenders get pulled once in a while. It is really too bad we took UAF lightly based on the fact we beat them up pretty good earlier in the year. It really is unexcuseable, I mean think of the trip they had to make, for them to look like the fresher team on the road is really unfortunate. The pressure is on now!

I am all for giving the team a spark, but why not after the first period. After the second the damage had already been done. A spark is a great thing but I think it was given to late.

that was my confusion - and the reason behind my post - it seemed odd to have such a point difference that I would have >i'm not to knowledgable but i'm learning< assumed that they would have pulled Siggy between the first and second or sometime during the second... that is why i was confused... thanks for clearing it all up :-)

Yeah, I talked to Jordan briefly today and he's pretty pissed about the game >completely understandable< anyway, I think we're gonna see a whole new game tonight because i think he and the other seniors have come to realize that tonight could be their last game at BGSU (for Jordan, playing on the same team as Jonathan) - losing tonight is not a way to end a season

Tonight will rock! GO FALCONS!!
