Be shocked if Pearson is let go. University has had this report for three months and he's still technically employed. They'll claim since Bancroft has retired that the root of the biggest issue is gone, and probably state Pearson has undergone some type of BS leadership training to better deal with the culture issues in the program.

I think the Gould thing happened on Shawhan's watch? Can't remember.

Someone start looking at those flight tracking apps for a Mankato, MN to Ann Arbor, MI run...

I think you're right. Think he transferred after Shawhan's first year. It's been a week already. Carry on.

I think that was the plan until the report became public. The report accuses Pearson of basically lying throughout the investigation. I know if I'm a coach, I'm calling some kids ASAP now. There's a "gentleman's" agreement, but I'm not sure "gentleman" is an adjective many would use in a description of him.

The Michigan situation is turning into a real shitshow. Apparently the 8 Regents and interim prez want Mel gone while Mel and the AD want Mel to stay.

Figured someone was pushing hard for Mel to stay, surprised it's Warde. Word behind the scenes is that there are some major donors at play who are lobbying for Mel to keep his job, and Warde is basically keeping from pissing those individuals off. Messy situation all around.

Embarrassing that Pearson is let go only because the report got public. Some department Warde is running.

Ryan Bednard has signed with Wheeling. Looks like we'll get to see a good dose of him in Toledo.

Many of us on here were close with her and Rick, and spent fun and quality time with her at BGSU football and hockey events. Wanted to pass it along as some people may not be active on social media.

Sad, sad day for the BG athletic community.
Ugh. Wish this wasn't true. Thanks for letting us know. Sad day.
So shocked and saddened to hear of this...Marta and Rick were some of my favorite people from this site back in the early 2000's...damn
