She’s 6’1, and she averaged 15.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game last year, so she seems like a productive player. Let’s hope it translates to this level.
I like this fit as a 7th player in the rotation. 1,100 points and 700 rebounds at any level is no joke. She was freshman of the year in her conference and first-team all-conference twice.

We seem to have a good number of players in the 6' to 6'2" range now. Would love to get a 6'3"-6'5" player to be a disruptor down low when we play bigger schools, but I know that's asking a lot in a MAC program.

2nd 2023 commit today is 5'9" Combo Guard Kennedy Blair from Dearborn Divine Child, MI. Looks like typical Fralick recruit. Shoots the 3 but does drive to the basket. Team was 19-5 last year and got to the Div. 1 Regional Final. In the two Regional games Kennedy totaled 56 points. Team played in the tough Catholic League with an overall good schedule. Kennedy was named to the Division 1 AP All State First Team as was 2022 BG Commit Jaci Tubergen.

Kennedy who signed in Nov. named the #4 player in Michigan by the Free Press's Mick McCabe this weekend. Team was also Top 20 and mentioned that she averaged 20 ppg, 8 rbg, 4 assists, 4 steals in 2021-22 and the fact (probably from her coach) that she is physically stronger this year.

Major article by HS Sports Guru Mick McCabe in today's Detroit Free Press on Kennedy Blair. It is behind the paywall but basically talks about her growing up with 4 older siblings all of whom played a lot of basketball including 3 in college. She grew up with a brother only 13 months older than her (Irish Twins) according to the article, and therefore played against and with her "twin" brother and his friends and all male opponents. She just broke the family scoring record with 46 points in an OT loss to Farmington Hills Mercy, the #3 Division 1 team in Michigan. Has long range 3 point potential but also can drive and finish near the basket. Says she is at her best when grabbing a defensive rebound and leading a fastbreak that attacks the other end of the floor. Averaging 23 PPG, 10 rebounds, 6 steals with 45% shooting. Sounds like a strong addition to next year's team that will have almost everyone of consequence back but Day.

Thanks for the updates. She sounds like she’ll be a star here. Next year might be the most guard depth we’ve ever had.
