Urban in town right as freshmen are moving in. Coincidence?!
Urbs just checked in at the McDonald quad.

As Professor Alan Emery once put it (a LONG time ago) in a lecture..."I'm not gay or blind, so yes, I do notice McDonald Quad"
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Scrimmage tomorrow and that’s a wrap on camp. Switch to game week practice schedule next week. The line is better, but not greatly improved. Don’t look for us to grind any one up , at least early on…
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

Not surprising if true. Anxious to see how the group looks tomorrow. We took on kids who (mostly) lost battles at their prior programs and were looking for a new opportunity. The bar at BG was probably the lowest to clear in FBS from an OL perspective, so we'll see.

As much as people are putting pressure on McDonald, the offense needs to run the ball effectively this season to control clock and keep the ball out of #3's hands as much as possible. He can have success if the play action game is there to keep opposing defenses honest.

Not sure who is all going tomorrow but hope to see some familiar faces.

We're asking a position coach who hasn't pulled a line together in 3 years to do it in 4 weeks. Not optimistic

Scrimmage was sloppy. Loeffler attributed it to guys being fatigued, kept saying it was overall a very good camp. Kicking game looks like it might be a challenge this year. Lots of missed field goals today. Going to miss Needham and Naranjo it appears.

Starting offensive line was Fatukasi (LT), Grant (LG), Robinson (C), Warner (RG) and Wollschlaeger (RT). Hilaire and CJ Lewis also starting at WR, so a complete overhaul on most of the line. I thought the defense looked very good and it's going to be the strength of the team again.

Of note, Terion Stewart and Drew Gunther didn't play. Bainbridge got in some snaps late and he has a cannon. Kid looks the part. Hope he can develop. Workouts end Sunday so I'd imagine a depth chart gets put out at some point soon.

Jon Waters had the band play after the scrimmage for a bit and gave a preview of the halftime show. He's got them sounding great already.
