Tough blow. Running back stable is deep thankfully. Hopefully he gets everything taken care of.Tony4BG wrote: ↑Sun Aug 28, 2022 10:08 pm Out for the season to concentrate on his health and academics

Re: Terion Stewart
That’s a tough one because he was going to be a stud this year. First and foremost, I hope he’s alright and can figure things out for himself. I can’t find him listed on the roster at all this morning, so I’m worried about the kid.
But the fortunate news is that we are absolutely loaded with talented (if inexperienced) guys at RB. For example, Terion didn’t play against Minnesota last year.
Jaison Patterson, Jamal Johnson, Taron Keith, Nick Mosley, Pasean Weberly, and possibly Trevon Raymore (he’s still on the roster - I had thought he medically retired, but he’s listed with 3 years of eligibility remaining?) all were likely to play this year anyway, so we’re DEEP at the position. Just sucks to be without the top guy.

Patterson and Johnson got a majority of the reps with the 1s during the intrasquad last week, but it'll be by committee most likely for the season.

Re: Terion Stewart
That hurts. Stewart has a great extra gear. But there's better RB depth now than since maybe 2014. So hopefully the team will be okay, and Stewart comes back better than ever next year.

Damn man...someone at my work just told me the bad news. I know we have some depth at RB, but Stewart is "the guy" IMO. He's a difference maker and has a knack for getting yards. We know how poor our OL has been in recent years and still, this guy managed to break off big runs and big gains. The timing of this seems really, really odd to me as we're less than a week away from the opener. It's always tough to lose guys because of injuries. But this one is especially tough because he's taking himself out. And not just for a few games, the entire season. I hope we see him back next year, but in this day and age, there's certainly a good chance that we never see him play for BG again either. A very tough break...
GO BG!!!
