Good way to end the half with the defense forcing a stop and keeping it 1 possession. Despite the heat and athletic mismatch, BG is winning the LOS for the most part on defense. McDonald has missed on some key throws but is making all the right decisions. FAR better performance so far than anyone expected.

7 needs to string a game together this season when he doesn’t take himself out every 6 plays.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

That quarter was as bad as we ever looked in the Jinks era. 3 straight 3 and outs, Defense easily gave up over 200 yards. Really troubling, especially after a surprisingly good start.

McDonald has looked awful...inaccurate throws, balls batted down at the line. Not what you would expect from a guy in his 10th season

Imagine a coach who puts his entire head coaching career on the throwing motion of McDonald.

This is a wonderful stadium but the atmosphere is a bit like November MACtion. A *ton* of empty seats, and more golf claps than cheers.

The heat doesn’t help. It’s 102.

Still, a good first half overall. A good close, hard-fought game so far.

Offense stalled out and the defense was thrown to the wolves. It's 100 degrees out as well. Recipe for disaster.

Apparently no one told these guys to hydrate this week.

Only so much you can do when your body isn’t adjusted. Regardless of the outcome I think the defense did really well before the cramps caught up to them. I’m actually surprised UCLA hasn’t had the same issue. No one should be used to this. Does each sideline have the same access to fans/mists/cool air?

These guys are tired and dehydrated in temperatures that are potentially dangerous to play in. The physical effects could have an impact for weeks. Hope that check is worth it

As tough as this game has been, we got a clutch 3rd down sack and then UCLA missed a chip shot field goal.

Stays 31-17. BG has to get something soon to stay in this one.

The OL still looks like crap. So does our QB play. Just more of the same, again.

I changed channels but caught the crazy fumble first down. There's a guy dropping on near every play. Can't watch that ... its dangerously hot. Need to just call it and get out of there and get everyone hydrated.
