I have no white BG gear. Does anyone? It’s is a dumb choice.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

Only thing I've got is a white track zip up.

This feels like a ploy to get people to go buy white BG stuff they're never going to wear again.

Surely you own a white shirt. Wear one.

Or don't. (They aren't going to deny you admission for wearing brown.)

Or bring a sign blaming it all on Kit Hughes and the Illuminati.

Shad...For someone who has conniptions over the school's use of black on uniforms...you're being awfully dismissive of people complaining about a "white out"

I mean, sure, it's dumb, but also this is something that a ton of schools do across the country who don't have white as a school color. Off the top of my head I can think of Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, and Maryland who have all done white outs in recent years. It's a common promo, not a disconnect by the athletic department.

BG actually also did a White Out against Maryland when they came to the Doyt a few years ago.

My first guess was that they were going to give t-shirts to all students or first x people or something like that, and it was cheaper to get white shirts than Orange. To me anything other than an "orange out" for BG is stupid. Your primary color is bright and flashy, and everybody probably has gear in that color.

But hey, in the grand scheme I don't much care. White outs happen commonly across schools of all colors (which is one reason I'd always prefer an orange out), but it's not real high on my concerns.

I'm far more concerned if we can actually score 30 points against EKU.

I won't be at the game so white out isn't an issue, though I do have white BG gear. What I don't have is a teleporter to get from the east coast to BG rapidly.

All I really want is for BG to wipe out an FCS. BG shellacked Morgan State in 2019 and won with some struggle against Murray State last year. But the aftertaste of Jinks nearly going 0-3 against FCS is still strong. (Actually 2-1 but both wins were last play wins that probably should have gone the other way). Prior to Jinks, BG thumped the FCS every time the way it should be done. A return to normalcy is all I want from this game.

I continue to hold out hope for a brown out. :-)

Well said. I really hope this offense starts to click against Eastern Kentucky.

Unfortunately the gap between the bottom end G5 programs and the top 30 or so FCS programs has narrowed over the last 10 years. 2021 alone there were 12 FCS vs. FBS "upsets", eight of which were against G5 opponents (two vs. UMass). Most since 16 in 2013. Speaks volumes to how poorly this program has performed since 2015 that these games have caused some heartburn.

A loss tomorrow and an 0-4 start is all but guaranteed IMO, and there will probably be little doubt from anyone that Loeffler will be let go at the end of the season. It's a very important game for several reasons. The offense needs to get some confidence and the team as a whole needs a convincing win to get some positive vibes before the Marshall game, which could wind up being the pivot point of the year. EKU is a good team, playing for a cause (their head coach is away due to health concerns), and they showed last week they can hang with a MAC team on the road. I think BG wins but EKU either covers or pushes on the +6 line.

Check the tailgate lot portapotty on your way into the game. That's why you don't do a Brown out!

But yes, if this team is going to accomplish anything this season they MUST find a way to move the ball and score points against an FCS foe, regardless of how good EKU is. I, for one, would leave the stadium more encouraged losing 45-42 than I would eking out a 13-10 win...but that's just me.

We must find a way to gain confidence, gain yards, and make some freaking plays on offense. We have only managed 30 points 3x in the Loeffler era, and the only time in the past 2 seasons was the game he was ejected. If we can't do it against EKU, I don't know when we will.

So are you forecasting a Bowling Green win or not?

"I think BG wins" means he thinks Bowling Green will win the football game. Come on, Schad!

He's saying he thinks it could be by 6 or less, though. Not sure if you are familiar with the gambling lingo or not.

I stated BG wins but EKU covers. Sorry for the degenerate language.
