As further evidence of how sh**ty the MAC east is, Matt McDonald was awarded MAC East offensive POW. Now don't get me wrong, he played well. Lots of yards and TDs. But when the divisional offensive POW played on a team that lost to an FCS, that division blows.

BGSU used a search firm after it fired Jinks. The search committee provided a bunch of names. One of those names was Jim McElwain. That name was provided while Central Michigan still had a coach. Moosbrugger and Con Man Kit Hughes ignored those names in favor of the Boston College offensive coordinator who was set to be fired. The search firm is only as good as the people making decisions. Bowling Green has had incompetent people making decisions for nearly a decade. It took the Con Man Kit Hughes finally leaving to set the wheels in motion to clean it all up. Just like Loeffler needed 5 years to get to the moon. BGSU is going to need time to recover from the Con Man.

Speaking of incompetent, what about the lady telling people they can't tailgate prior to 4 hours before kickoff last week? That's a new one.

Can I have more info about this tailgating lady? We were out there a little after noon and didn't have any problems, but we'll be out there earlier (in relation to gametime) this weekend.

I know the official rule is 4 hours, but I didn't know of it ever actually being enforced.

This just shows how out of touch the athletic department is with the college football atmosphere.

I don't feel the need to argue a benefit. We have him under contract to provide services. Let's allow him to keep providing the services we are paying him for, if only as a caretaker, until we are actually ready to make a change or at least search for a replacement.
as hammb pointed out, the offense ran really well...as in the best it's run in his time at BG... when he wasn't on the sidelines calling plays.
I'm not sure any university president ought to be sacking a football coach because he has a hunch that the play calling on offense might improve based on one half of football a year ago.

No...he'd be sacking the HC because he's a proven incompetent and there's evidence...however scant...that there are internal options that might be better. Hard to argue they would be worse

A better reason to “sack” a football coach would be having a worse record (soon) and a higher salary than the last coach you “sacked.” Speaking of caretakers. BGSU has let plenty of caretakers rot around. Let someone else give it a shot and see if they can do more than caretake.

This same person told those who brought RVs early to tailgate they had to leave around 8am. If I were a casual fan I'd never come to another game after that.

Have you seen the MAC East? :vom:
Have you seen us? Our defense has been horrible...our QB makes the same mistakes he made when we were 0-5 in 2020
This....We are still seeing the same mistakes from 2-3 years ago.

Six wins is back on the table and he earns a stay with that, in my book.

Winning five conference games will still be difficult. Marshall win pauses the conversation for a couple of weeks.

Outside a higher buyout for Coach who else benefits? Finish the miserable season. Wasting money IMO
