I enjoy these preseason polls. Hockey East media poll has BC finishing 7th in the conference. ECH ranks them right ahead of us at 19. Mmmmkaaay, something's amiss here. Standard 4 Nacho teams are ranked; Western is unranked as is Miami State (I wanted to point that out). Mankato clocks in at #7. I guess the pollsters felt there should be two CCHA teams in the mix and randomly picked us over Bemidji and Tech?

Those ECH guys are usually pretty biased towards the bigger programs and those on the east coast. Mike McMahon from CHN is ranking teams four at a time in his blog, curious to see where he has BG.

We're going to find out right off the bat this season with the first two games being at Northern on the first weekend. No warming up with an exhibition this year.

Official practice should be starting soon, I believe last year they kicked off on Sept. 17th. CCHA media day should also be right around the corner. Very important year for the program and Coach Eigner.

Better double-check your gear bag, Andrew.

Since it was mentioned earlier in this thread, no worries of seeing him in a BG sweater.

If there was one franchise to sign him, it would have been the Bruins. This is a pretty on brand move by them.

And it was short lived.

Issue is the NHL registry already accepted the contract. NHLPA is planning to grieve Bettman's ban so we'll see what happens.
