Yeah, but I bet you could write it without devoting the first third of the article to Ohio State's accomplishments.
Overall, a pretty good piece, though.
"I don't believe I can name a coach, anywhere, anytime, anyhow, who did it better than Doyt Perry."

I saw Nate play his final home game at BG. I was in the 5th grade, and I thought Anderson Arena was the coolest place I'd ever seen. I can remember they played Duquesne and beat them by a bunch. I had a scorecard (calling it a program would have been a stretch) and I remember writing down the name of every player that played that night (they must've had at least 17-18 kids on the team and they all got in).
Wish I still had that program, but I still have one from the '63-'64 season autographed by the entire team.

Nate's Freshman Yr.
What most of you guys probably don't know is that the FRESHMAN team that Nate played on could've been the backbone for the greatest BG team ever!!
Nate, Elijah Chatman (mentioned in the article), a guard from Detroit named Wavey Junior and HIS h.s. teammate, Ira Harge, were ALL part of that Freshman team...
Junior unfortunately, didn't stay eligible, and Harge transferred to N.Mex. St.
When Nate made 1st team all amer., Komives made 2nd team the same yr. I believe, and a 3rd team selection? A guy named Harge from N.M.St. If all had stayed through their full careers at BG, I've always maintained we were looking at a top 10, maybe top 5 team in the country.... But they WERE fun to watch..many people came to see the freshman game more than the "varsity" then.
