Server Host moved

Hey everyone - server has been moved and I believe I got everything configured. Let me know if you see any issues/missing data when your on the new system.

Looks fine so far. Didn't even have to reset the clock.

The whole site was down earlier. Not sure if anybody else experienced that. It was at about 1:30 or 2:00 Eastern.

Agreed. I checked back about an hour later and everything was good. It was probably back before that but I didn't notice. Just trying to help Jeff out in case something he did caused that then he knows it was experienced by others.

Hey Bassdrummin....did you ever see my suggestion to increase the file size limit for .pngs and .jpegs?

It would be awesome to be able to share photos on this site. Can't realistically do that now.

The site being down was me. I'm still tweaking some things in the background the other day. You may see more of that this weekend, but i'll try to keep the interruptions to a minimum.

Also, I'll let you know when the image size upload has been updated. It is a quick setting change on the server, but i'm going to hold off on adding that in until I get the site where I want it to be. I'm planning to put some more work in on it this weekend so it depends on how well that goes. There is a chance that the site might be down for a bit as I'm working through that process as well.

Throw up a ton of ads, collect money, ignore everything else. I've been here for over 20 years (yeesh) and the lack of ownership presence since the transition is mind blowing. This site could be so much more. I know it takes time, effort but man...

It's very strange, but I cannot imagine this is a case of making the site a side hustle. We definitely have more, and more invasive, ads than we used to but I know Grant never profited off the site. I find it hard to believe with our limited user base that these ads are generating enough revenue to pay for hosting fees. Maybe those fees have gone down enough to make it true, but seems unlikely to me.

I wonder if he sold it off and never told anyone. He use to give an update here and there (every 6 months) but now nothing for what a couple years almost. I kind of one day just expect it not be here anymore with no warning.

Same. My suspicion is he paid for hosting and domain registration years out and we're just here until those expire. I'm to the point where I don't even care about the site, I kinda hope he's well. It's odd to own something like this and not even check in occasionally.
