Embarrassing. Definitely a lack of upper end talent and a lack of leadership with this group. Have to think another losing season is a distinct possibility.

7-2

We are three for three this season playing like garbage on the second night of back-to-backs.

Last night was our good night.

Get two weeks to sort things out. Exhibition vs. Adrian and then a trip to Mankato. 2-6 is a possibility.

The first period of the home opener was the last good period we’ve played. 8 consecutive periods of crap.

An 8-2 loss on home ice is never acceptable.

Hopefully there's enough healthy bodies to field a lineup.

Mankato is dismantling Duluth. 6-0 on the scoreboard, 32-7 SOGs. 2 and 6 to start the season is a distinct possibility.

Need to get healthy for sure. Blue line is suffering again from youth. I'm honestly concerned though that the overall systems and lack of top end talent will doom this team. They don't seem to want to work hard. That was at least the hallmark of Berge's teams, didn't question the effort most nights. The start to the season hasn't been very good outside of about four periods.

I know it’s a long season, and it’s not close to proportional and not the same sport or anything, but a brain-busting stat this morning:

The football team has the same record as the hockey team right now, this morning.

Just could it be possible that Bob Moosbrugger, Con Man Kit Hughes & Jim Elsasser botched another hire?

Last time we gave up 8 or more goals at home.....the famous night Rico took a bow after getting kicked out.

February.10, 2010

Dennis Williams was the coach at the time.. Lost 10-2 to Miami. That was the year coming off of hints of cutting the program.

Last night had nothing to do with cutting the program. You have to fix effort and the ability to WANT to get better for the TEAM.

Getting to 15 wins could be a challenge.

The issues stem more from a roster that refuses to play with any urgency. That's on the leadership group more than the coaching staff. Same captain as last year and so far the results have been very familiar.

And Williams is now one of the most successful coaches in Canadian major juniors.

So happy to hear this. Thanks for sharing. Took several Grad classes with him and hung out several times. Lost touch over time because of his coaching transitions but glad he's doing well.
