Injury updates?
Injury updates?
Does anyone know how long Davon Ferguson is going to be out, or what even happened to him? He's missed the last 3 games and I haven't heard a word on why or what happened. It seems odd for a player tabbed the "best player on the team" to be missing and it seems to be lost in the shuffle. Maybe I missed something on him, IDK. I thought I heard he was in a walking boot a few weeks ago. But aside from that, nothing. Another guy who started the first two games and he's been out is Tunde Fatukasi and I haven't heard anything since on him either. The only injury of note I've seen reported was in week one with Austin Osborne, who appears to still be out for another 3-4 weeks at best from what I last heard.

Don't believe Fatukasi is hurt. Saw him on the sideline at the Marshall game, he was dressed without any signs of an injury. Stewart seems to have had taken his job.BGSU33 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 1:50 pm Does anyone know how long Davon Ferguson is going to be out, or what even happened to him? Only thing I've heard on Ferguson is he's still at least a few weeks out. Osborne was a 6-8 week injury so do the math on that, late October/early November.

On a positive note, Jamal Johnson is back at RB after missing 3 games. Obviously both Sims and McDonald are back.

Fatukasi was dressed full gear at Akron as well.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 03, 2022 2:45 pmDon't believe Fatukasi is hurt. Our next 4 games are all in November. Sure would be nice to get these two back for all of them.

I believe Jordan Anderson is hurt. Don't know the severity but he was in street clothes against CMU.

He was out the week prior too.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 25, 2022 7:08 am I believe Jordan Anderson is hurt. Don't know the severity but he was in street clothes against CMU.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.
Re: Injury updates?
SL talked about getting guys healthy in his presser. I know he often states that but I think this mini bye is what he meant this time and Anderson is probably part of that equation.

Re: Injury updates?
Latest Blade article mentioned some guys getting healthy and potentially back in the lineup for Wednesday, no names given though.

Re: Injury updates?
Anderson may be available this week LTD…. Osborne maybe next week. Don’t see Ferguson back this year.

Re: Injury updates?
Since we're 8 games in, will Osborne have a chance at a medical redshirt since he is only going to play in 2-3 games? Seems fair that he would.roguewarrior wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 12:23 pm Anderson may be available this week LTD…. Osborne maybe next week. Don’t see Ferguson back this year.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Re: Injury updates?
The rule is that the injury has to happen in the first part of the season, and the athlete needs to play in less than 30% of the season. I also have to imagine that him coming back at the end of this year would make that situation more unlikely. But he does already have eligibility for next year still, so who knows?BillyLP wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 12:38 pmSince we're 8 games in, will Osborne have a chance at a medical redshirt since he is only going to play in 2-3 games? A. They have to want him back. Not a guaranteed contract or progression.mbenecke wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 12:47 pmThe rule is that the injury has to happen in the first part of the season, and the athlete needs to play in less than 30% of the season. B. He has to want to be back . He may already have his masters.

Re: Injury updates?
I have to imagine he’s planning to be here next year, at minimum. He has the eligibility for it, so unless he’s planning on playing elsewhere, I can’t imagine he quits football after this season and leaves that year on the table.roguewarrior wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 3:14 pmA.
