Thank God for Hillaire... wasn't sure how he'd do coming from Alabama A&M...but he's been a quality receiver
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Getting Osborne back would be a nice boost for the receiving corps. He and McDonald developed a really good connection on the field last year that's been missing this season. The Ferguson injuries have been killers for BG. If he's out for the year again, that'll be back-to-back years we've lost him and this year it happened in week 2. He's only played in 9 games in two seasons here, which isn't even a full season combined. Plus he's considered our best pure talent player on the team.
GO BG!!!

Since we're 8 games in, will Osborne have a chance at a medical redshirt since he is only going to play in 2-3 games? Seems fair that he would.
The rule is that the injury has to happen in the first part of the season, and the athlete needs to play in less than 30% of the season. I also have to imagine that him coming back at the end of this year would make that situation more unlikely. But he does already have eligibility for next year still, so who knows?
A. They have to want him back. Not a guaranteed contract or progression.
B. He has to want to be back . He may already have his masters.
I have to imagine he’s planning to be here next year, at minimum. He has the eligibility for it, so unless he’s planning on playing elsewhere, I can’t imagine he quits football after this season and leaves that year on the table.
I'm hoping Osborne is able to come back this year simply because one, he could certainly help us as him and McDonald have a great connection both on the off the field. And two, I get the feeling he's not going to be here next year. McDonald was a huge reason he came to BG in the first place and this is McDonald's final season. Osborne is also a really smart guy on the academic side of things as well. I could see him going out into the real world or transferring back west for another year somewhere. That said, I hope like hell he does come back as I think he's a really good player and an even better leader for this team and program. I was blow away with his demeanor and the way he conducts himself. He is a true student-athlete and the model for what you want a player who represents your program and university to be. I'm a huge fan of his and hope he's back with BG this season and next. I love this guy.
GO BG!!!
