How are they even allowed 20 players?Globetrotter wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 6:05 pm They have 20 players. Anyone who wants to play gets to.

And, right now, that's [probably because people extended eligibility through Covid, while more came into the program behind them.

I assume everyone is on scholarship at the academy so it doesn't really matter?Diemilkweed wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 11:06 pmHow are they even allowed 20 players?Globetrotter wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 6:05 pm They have 20 players. Anyone who wants to play gets to.

This one is probably gonna be rough on the family. We'll be there but I guess we'll see how well we make it through the game. First school day after the time change, I have a hunch the kiddo is gonna be ready to crash by halftime.

We'll be there. This is our first attempt at a 7 PM game with our little guy. I'm excited to see how he'll do with being up late like this. When you hear the screaming 2 year old in section 103, that would be us!

Dexter has been to pretty much every game that I have in the past 7 seasons, starting when he was 4 months old. As a baby it was easy; he would just go to sleep by the 2nd half. 1 was fine too. 2 was starting to get iffy if he would nap during the game...he's always enjoyed watching the game on some level.
We would take PJs and change him out at the final media timeout (earlier if he was going to fall asleep). That way he could fall asleep in the car on the way home and just trnasition to bed.
This 7years old thing is a whole new ball of wax. Firstly, he thinks we should buy concessions every game...which just isn't happening. Secondly, staying up for the game is easy, but his normal weeknight routine is bed/books at 8:00, asleep before 9:00. These later nights for him open us up to the morning before the school bus being a bigger issue than making it through the game...

And just like that, the wife has now been hit with the stomach bug that took down the son and I Thursday - Saturday. I guess you can count us out for the game now. Unfortunately, now I'll be arguing with him on whether we get to watch basketball on TV or if we have to watch the Cars movie for the 9000000th time this week.footballguy51 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 12:16 pm We'll be there. I love Bluey. It’s a kids show I can stand to watch. And it looks like that’s my only option because, for some stupid reason, I’m blocked from watching the game online.hammb wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 4:57 pmJust watch Bluey. Re: Air Force
I sense sarcasm but my medication and stuffy head makes me believe otherwise. I would think after 4 years of education in a military academy you are commissioned an officer without regard to remaining NCAA eligibility - 4 years only. And with academy demands I suspect players are not always available so extra players are a necessity. Additionally when someone drops from the program due to academic demands the coach can't simply go to the transfer portal. It has to be much different roster build at an academy than anywhere else in DI. These gentlemen are far from the "everyone gets a trophy" culture.Diemilkweed wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 11:06 pmHow are they even allowed 20 players?Globetrotter wrote: ↑Fri Nov 04, 2022 6:05 pm They have 20 players. I proudly chose to be a Falcon and a Falcon I will remain until the end.
Re: Air Force
Looked very rough early but buckled down and played pretty good defense for the final 15:00 of the half. Our offense still sucks. Keep playing defense like this and should win.
