We played a Saturday/Sunday, then had a short week to get to a Friday/Saturday, and then had another short week to play a Thursday/Friday. I think missing those extra days or rest and preparation have probably had an impact on the team’s overall health so far. So, hopefully they can get right over this free weekend and they’re ready to go next weekend in Mankato.
Bad luck, but you also create your own luck. A lot probably has to do with the way teams are allowed to play. Malmstrom, Stoever, and Swankler all were injured on plays without penalties assessed. Not exactly sure the other injuries, but there has been a large number of shots blocked so far this season. Far more than last season. It's a good thing, but can lead to injuries. I believe coach mentioned Pfoh re-aggrivated an older injury that hadn't completely healed before. The real worry would be if there's a bunch of muscle injuries as that would be training and conditioning related. And quite frankly, they've looked absolutely dead tired since the 2nd period of the second Northern game.

Sounds like Fyten needs back surgery and is done for the year.

I was afraid of that when Eigs was going down the injury list during the coaches talk.

What ever happened to relentlessness? When there was less talent--I'm thinking Bergeron's first seasons--our boys won a few through sheer effort. I recall a relentless forecheck. An aggressive PK. Once a certain level of talent was reached, the boys don't seem to be playing as hard. Now I see D-men coasting to retrieve the puck in our end without considering the opposing player flying in the puck's direction. I see passes with not much on them that are somewhat easy to intercept.

Looks like we recently got a commitment from Brandon Santa Juana. He's with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks in the BCHL where he is their second leading scorer and was previously committed to UConn.

At the holiday break, CCHA only has one team (Minnesota State) in the top 16 of the PWR. Certainly looking like it will be a one bid year for the conference.

A nice story on the Craggs brothers. If this isn't a joint marketing opportunity for the Walleye and BG I don't know what is.

The athletic department announced today that general admission tickets to ALL home regular season sporting events for the rest of the school year are just $10 until Monday night at 11:59pm. There’s no fees and no code needed, so if you’re planning to get GA tickets to any event the rest of the year, now would be a great time to do it!

I snagged $10 tickets for the Ohio State hockey game next month that would’ve otherwise cost me $22 for the ticket with a $2 fee.

Awesome deal!

Ohio State is offering a BOGO Free for its events. That includes the Dec. 17 BGSU game.

St. Thomas swept Lake State. Lakers only have one win on the season. Chances BG loses to them at least once next weekend?

I hadn't looked at the pairwise this year (since it doesn't matter for us) and WOW! Here's how the leagues currently stack up:

HE: 6! (BU, Merrimack, UConn, UMass, Providence, Lowell)
B1G: 4 (Penn State, Gophers, Sparty, Michigan)
ECAC: 2 (Quinnipiac, Harvard)
Nacho: 2!! (Denver, St. Cloud)
CCHA: 1 (Autobid)
Atlantic: 1 (Autobid)

Yeah, yeah, it's early, blah, blah, it'll change, yeah, I get it. But 6 HE teams and only 2 Nacho teams going into December? When has that ever happened?
