vs. Kent State (11/9)
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
Tomorrow will be all about lowering the standards again.
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
Somehow SL will say we should have won this game by 14-17 points as he goes through the laundry lists of errors and mistakes.
GO BG!!!
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
It’s time for a new coach. The fact that he refused to use the portal to get O line players in here and hung his career on McDonald should be fireable offenses. That’s just pure negligence and laziness.
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
Well looks we have have our quarterback of the future
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
Well, if the team is going to tank, I’m glad it happened today. Saves me a trip to the Glass Bowl next week. Told myself when the schedule came out this year that I wouldn’t go to another Battle until it is on a Saturday again, then BG went on a little run and had me reconsidering. Guess that’s over.

What an embarrassment tonight.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
Either make a commitment to being competitive again or get rid of football. Spend the money on hockey and basketball.
SL should be unemployed tomorrow or ride out his contract and close the doors on football.

I thought we might win tonight...but Kent is quicker, faster and...especially...stronger than we are. A complete mismatch

And he will be now known as Coach Lostffler. New AD needs to pull the trigger and get rid of him.
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
How is Kent 3-6? They are much more talented than us.
Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
They lost close games they should have won, injuries, and a gauntlet non conference schedule. Lewis is a far superior head coach as he has abused Loeffler every time.

Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
This was one of two big problems tonight. The offensive line play was not strong. McDonald didn't have time to wait for deep routes to develop. Only short passes were working, and he was under quite a bit of duress.
The other big problem was that our defensive line seemed to disappear tonight. I'm not exactly what happened, but Kent State was getting some big gashes on the ground.
This was a terribly disappointing result. I'm not going to rule out another win before the end of the season, but we got our butts kicked tonight, and it only gets tougher from here.
I will say that I'm enjoying hearing Cal Bowers in the booth tonight with Todd Walker. He sounds good and he obviously knows this program.

Re: vs. Kent State (11/9)
I could live with most of those fourth down calls. He was counting on our defense to keep us in the game while he kept rolling the dice to keep drives going. It's a strategy. The problem was, the Falcons kept rolling snake eyes on fourth downs, and we gave up a ton of field position in the process.
I didn't like that fake punt though. That didn't fool many people and it was on our own side of the field.
Loeffler just finished speaking with the media. He just said he was outcoached. A couple of minutes later, he came back to it. I think this is a direct quote: "There's very few times that I can saw we were outcoached. We were outcoached plain and simple," Loeffler said.
I respect his determination to own the loss rather than keep too much of the focus on his players in front of the media.
I like this team. I honestly like Loeffler from what little I've seen of him. He seems like a good guy. He works hard. Part of me really likes this this old school offense and all the tight end play. (Few things are as fun as watching a big ol' tight end grab the ball and rumble down the field.) I'd feel good about having a kid play for him.
But this was a really disappointing loss. Hard to feel good about the program tonight.

Saying "we were outcoached" sounds like a high character move..but in reality, it isn't . It's just another load of BS. The difference wasn't on the sideline, it was everywhere. Those guys were better...much better...than we are. Admitting that Coach Lewis has built a superior program runs against the were going to contend in year four narrative.
Right now...my biggest worry is that P5 schools are going to pick our bones and take guys like Fannin, Patterson and Broden
