In his defense, it was an absolute horrible call. Rico had the ear of the referee "they have more powerplays than me." The entire Section A heard Ty yelling "I want you" at the ref that made that call, and he refused to talk to him. And, amazingly, the number of powerplays ended the night even.

Even Wozney's cross-checking penalty was baffling. Kid toe-picked himself and Wozney didn't even touch him.
Barber: 4 points, leads the team in penalties with 8 (all minor).
Barber's tripping penalty Friday: He was skating toward the side boards and had one foot behind him when a Tommie skated by. If Barber stuck his foot out on purpose, it was a trip. Otherwise, it was a dive. At the time, before the whistle, I just thought the Tommie was a doofus for tripping himself on Barber's leg.

I thought Wozney did get the Tommie in the back, but it was the kind of "cross check" that happens 200 times a game. Not a penalty.

BG got a powerplay, but took a penalty of our own just 30 seconds in. And now we take another penalty for holding Daly’s stick.
...
* Solway * used to do the stick-tow a lot. I don't recall that he as ever called for it.

Barber being named captain exemplifies this team's performance. A stronger personality coach and he's not even on this team.

Neither hit (trip) by Barber was a smart decision, but with the way both games were called, neither should have been a penalty. Especially with no call being made on the hit that injured Dougherty.

Wozney's penalty, the player was expecting Wozney to push down on his hips, so he transferred his weight to his toes to counter. Hit didn't happen, over the guy goes.

Whoever was running the video board, need them every game. No reason goal reviews cannot be shown in the arena. Shortens the explanation process to the coaches afterwards.
