If his last name wasn't Elsasser. No one would care. He isn't that bad with the minutes he gets. A player of his level shouldn't be getting that many minutes. Is he that much worse than Matt Fox? It's a failure to create a roster where he isn't needed not a situation where he is completely out of place. If Lightfoots last name was Elsasser everyone would be like...this kid got 2 fouls in a minute why is he playing?

If Lightfoot’s last name was Elsasser, Willie Elsasser would have been recruited by multiple Division 1 schools. In that scenario Isaac Lightfoot would probably be playing at Wittenberg, Tiffin, or Ohio Northern. It’s just basic BGSU nepotism.
