Notre Dame

Post by Diemilkweed »

I live in South Bend now and plan to be at the game. Any chance anybody else will be in attendance?

With the MAC Volleyball championship and OU game tonight, I'm finding it hard to even care about this one knowing that it's likely a 25 point loss.

Agreed but hopefully volleyball will be done by the start of this game and I can mainly watch most of the first half

Notre dame hasn't been good the past few years and they don't look too impressive in their wins this season. I think we can hang around a while

I just turned it on to see us take the lead with 1 sec left in the half on a nice Agee post up then a block on the other end

Then Elsasser falls asleep on defense to let their best scorer get a catch and shoot 3 at the buzzer. Damn

42-40 going into half. Must've played pretty well.

Big kid on ND might drop 40 but we are right there. Bad stretch with an atrocious lineup on the floor and a couple bad turnovers but other than that we can hang. Agee is an absolute truckload just bullying them on the block. Need Curtis to tighten up in the second half too he took a couple really bad shots early in the clock.

Love how these tools refer to Agee as a "blue collar" player rather a good, tough player.

And NO, Lightfoot is not the highest rated receuit in program history.

Kid got sick, worked late (had a great day though) so did not make the game. Watching on TV.

Holy crap guys! We are running PLAYS.

Not just 1 or two. Lots of them. At least some of the time with secondary action.

I just watched Curtis warp the defense with a dribble so he could pass to Matheney as he planted at the line coming off a screen from Agee. He was just covered enough that shooting it did not make sense, so he cut back across Agee the other way, sealing off 2 defenders in the process, and fed Agee for a layup down the middle of the lane.
That was not by accident.

Holy crap! WE are playing offense for real!!!!!

Also, the last guy we had who was 6'8" and 230 named Rashaun seemed to do OK. Agee just might be a beast.

Down 2 at the half because they hit a 3 as time expired (Curtis missed a rotation on an inbounds play).

The only reason they had the inbounds play is because they tried to attack Agee off the dribble and he spiked the shot attempt into the stands.

I saw Curtis in the middle of nowhere in the paint with 2 actual paint defenders already in there. Looked to me like he missed his rotation.

Toledo took a dump two nights in a row and EMU just lost to a team from a satellite campus. S Houston just beat NIU by 30. Akron just got annilated at home in the 2nd to unranked LSU.

So, not going to be a 3 - bid conference this year?
