I didn't get to see much of the 2nd half but I'm not surprised the way it turned out. We started the game by completely refusing to guard the perimeter then when they started splashing everything we just ran full out at shooters which was starting to lead to easy layups.

The offense was it's usual self. Casual turnovers and jacking up NBA threes for no reason early in shot clocks. Second half must've looked even worse seeing as how we were down 8+ everytime I checked in on it.

Glad a family Thanksgiving took me out of town so I didn't have to watch in person. Double digit losses to the pansy ass schedule where he tries to get himself to 10 wins is just sad.

The best two players today were on southern Indiana

Without Ayers scoring our offense isn't good but we all know that

Ayers 8
Towns 10
Turner 10
Curtis 4
Lightfoot 7
Mills 3
Oneal 2
Metheny 7
This is a weird one. I already know we lose…..Stupid ESPN app showed me the score.
Great pass from Turner to Ayers. Both doing what they do best.
Towns with a nice shot from the elbow.
Towns just fought for the board. He is a very solid contributor. I’d like to see Agee with Turner or Towns as much as possible because Turner and Towns are just secondary pieces but both are nice compliments.
Curtis with a great pass to Towns (4)
We cannot guard teams who shoot threes well.
Great job doing the 2nd pass and 3rd pass and Turner knocks down the 3.
Curtis with a bad shot but the 3 lands.
5 minutes in and we are up by 5 and clearly can play with this team but we lose by 10? No idea how this is possible.
2 turnovers by Metheny already
Interesting that they put in Lightfoot with Metheny. Don’t hate it.
1 FT by Lightfoot
Agee called on a weird charge.
Ayers with the full court runner.
Terrible shot by Curtis
Agee is getting fouled a ton and no calls.
We look tired already. Depth is thin on this team despite actually using all the scholarships
Agee called on another charge where he was undercut. He has 2 fouls and neither were really on him. I wonder if he talks so much that the refs don’t give him the benefit of the doubt.
We are allowing tons of wide open threes.
Lightfoot-Elsasser-Towns-Mills-Curtis
Who is playing PF here? We have a ton of big men. We have to be able to find a 2nd guy to contribute.
Lightfoot cans a 3
Lightfoot heat check. Another bad shot. He might have the Curtis bug.
19-14. If I had to guess we lose because we get tired and they go on a big run because we can’t score with Ayers and Agee out.
Metheny with a nice save to Towns who hits.
Elsasser blows the fast break layup then gives up a 3 on the other side. This can’t be real life.
Why are we doubling the post with a team that shoots lights out from 3?
I am baffled by what defense we are running. At one point I thought zone but then Elsasser went from the right wing to the left post.
I just saw our coaches drawing up a play! We do have plays
Mills cans a 3 after a great Turner pass.
O;Neal is in.
24-22
19/20 I can tell whether or not we are going to score based on our footwork when shooting
Oneal should be getting the 5th big minutes, he has great offense in the post.
Our D is bad. We double at weird times and don’t hustle off the double.
Turner drills a 3.
34-31. Bad Guys. Lightfoot-Turner-Ayers-Oneal-Curtis
Turner gets the push off
Lightfoot is lightning quick
All 3 FTs for lightfoot after he is fouled on a dumb 3
So far….again we have the pieces. Their team is pretty good actually. Can shoot and has athletes. We seem messy. Ayers had 3 points on just a few shots. This should be a winnable game.
If we just go off minutes in this game and think about where this team is going. Lets say…just for fun a new coach comes in next year….He can win immediately. I am not just being dumb here. The hardest thing for a team to find is big men and PGs. We are going to have our starting PF and C next year no matter who it is and I would gamble they are the best PF/C duo in the MAC. Then you will have 2 capable Guards. By the end of the year I think Lightfoot settles in and Metheny is Metheny which is fine. Filling out your roster will be McComb and Felt who are unknowns but at best probably rotational guys. You will have 6 scholarships to give…maybe…who really knows because of Covid but lets say 6. It would be hard to fathom new coach couldn’t sell Xfer scorer on the idea of playing SG or SF on a team with 2 SR bigs and seasoned PGs. Essentially can say, you will be the centerpiece of the offense.
Minutes tonight for returners
1 Metheny 32-SO
2 Lightfoot 14-FR
3 McComb 8-FR
4 Agee 14-JR
5 Towns 24-JR
2nd half.
We seem board.
Metheny with a great shot.
41-36 bad guys with 18 minutes to go. At this point some how we only score 21 more points.
Curtis just let a guy take an easy layup…He frustrates me
I want this game to be over.
Dunk by Towns….what was going on with him at OU?
Curtis just took it to the hole and it was him vs 3 SIU peeps
Dunk by Towns number 2. We somehow score about a point a minute to close out this game
How bad is Mills? He just seems like h’s doing nothing or out of control. He averaged 13 at Binghamton
Running the floor is Turners middle name
Turner scored. 45-53 now.
McCombs 2 boards.
We look defeated and tired.
Brad Wozniak even sounds tired
We have 8:14 left and I am bored out of my mind
Agee nailed a 3 off a great Agee pass.
I’d start Agee and Towns. Turner is great but his energy is much better off the bench
Its 51-61 with 6:12 to go and we look like we are down by 40.
4 losses in a row.
LETS GO FALCONS IN THE BOWL GAME!

At this point we have 7 players that need to play
1 Metheny-Lightfoot
2 Curtis
3 Ayers
4 Turner-Agee
5 Towns
Then you have a mess of guys who haven’t proven they should have a role yet.
Mills-O’Neal-McComb-Diarra-Elsasser-Etim-Felt
If there are any serious injuries we are toast.
That group of 7 includes
1. A guy who averaged 13 in D1
2. A guy who can score in the post well
3. A guy who averaged 26 as a SR and 23 as a Prep
4. A 6-10 guy who had a rebound a minute in exhibitions
5. No one knows what Etim is
6. Felt who we all want to see but might have some knee injury that no one really knows about.
If you can find 2-3 more rotational players from that 7….that’s a decent team.

I know it’s OSU/UM day but holy cow that attendance is terrible. This program was so close in 2018-2019

I was at the women's game Wednesday and the men's game today. The announced attendance for the women's game was 886, and it looked like there were more fans for that game than there were today. As you said, it didn't help that OSU/UM went right up until 4 pm, but wow was it a small crowd.

Still the most ridiculous moment of the Michael Huger tenure. Roughly 20 months ago. Nobody was actually after Michael Huger. Just Con Man Kit Hughes and Bob Moosbrugger getting used and abused by Huger’s agent.

The bright side of Loeffler getting bowl eligible is that we’ll be able to afford Huger’s buyout this year. MBB is a complete gut job.

The FOIA into the Covid contract extension would be fascinating information. When administrators get kids on teams and become blow hard fans, reality becomes blurred. Justin Turner should be getting the buyout money, not Michael Huger.

Hope against hope Huger chooses to walk away on his own rather than BG having to buy him out. I'm not much of a basketball fan but can identify what a poor team like, and this is it.

Would be nice, but as guest has pointed out, Huger took the secret extension during Covid. He isn’t going anywhere unless he’s shown the door.

He isn’t walking away. No chance. It takes multiple morons to negotiate a silent Covid contract extension, and think it ends well. It’s especially stupid when the coaches success is clearly tied to one player. The 2019 extension showed us all that Moosbrugger was in over his head. Huger’s agent worked him publicly that time. BGSU knew all that was going on with the Con Man internally before that. They chose to wait until the Con Man finally found an AD job, and Summer ‘22 to rid what was obvious. In the end Frack money gets wasted, more time is wasted.

The COVID double secret extension ended any respect I had for Michael Huger. I mean I've booed him at every introduction for years but I at least thought he cared about his alma mater before that extension. Now I know he's a me first guy that made sure to buy himself an extra year of salary guarantees at a time the dept. was desperate to save cash. Shrewd business move, I guess, but don't come crying to me about how much you love BG when you're pulling s**t that helps your career earnings (and continued employment) at the expense of allowing the University to get rid of you.

I find it tough to believe anybody willing to pull that s**t would step down. If Huger actually wanted the program to succeed he would've stepped down when he lost his best asst coach to HS telling him you couldn't win the way he coached...

Can somebody explain to me this one poster's massive hard on for Kit Hughes? Did Kit rape a baby seal or something? I'm not close enough to the inner workings of our athletic department to understand why a horse that's been dead so long continuously needs to be beaten.
