Someone shared that he had a subpar bowl record, but the guy can clearly coach if you look at what he's done over his career. He took them from 2-10 to 6-6 in year one. They started slow, but as they have gotten more time working in his system, they've built momentum and come in to this game on a roll.

They run an RPO offense with a QB who is more mobile than ours, which always seems to be a problem for us.

I don't think we win this one, but then again we have found out that it's impossible to predict what we will see from this BG team.
Nearly any QB we face is going to be more mobile than ours. But I agree, mobile QBs seem to always find a way to exploit us. It also begs the question why the hell don't have one and run similar offenses. But SL seems to like QBs that play with cement blocks on their feet as if they're somehow going to summon their inner Tom Bradt effectiveness while standing in our crumbling pocket. Their QB, Diego Pavia, can hurt you with his legs and arms and actually got a vote in the Heisman Trophy voting, becoming the first NMSU player to ever receive one. In just his last game a half (6 quarters), he's 25-34 for 537 passing yards with 7 TDs and 0 ints while also rushing for 4 TDs. He sort of reminds me of Julian Edelman when he was a QB at Kent State. Prior to their win over Liberty, I would haven't have worried that much about facing them. But they are on a tear right now and are excited to be in a bowl. We better be prepared to match that intensity and face a mobile QB if we hope to end our bowl win drought.

This s bowl is supposed to be one of the better ones for player swag, at this level!
Please keep us posted.

I wonder if the band is going...I think they've gone to the game in Detroit before...although I could be wrong about that. And a lot of things...I'm not infallible

The band's Twitter account posted on 12/4 they were going.

Free oil changes at any Quick Lane location. Extra charge for synthetic.

WTOL’s Jordan Strack tweeted that Matt McDonald officially will not appeal to the NCAA for another year of eligibility, so the Quick Lane Bowl on December 26th will be his final game for BG.

One last rodeo for #3.

He shouldn't play anyway. This game should be about the future. However i don't expect that to happen

I get the idea of getting a jump on next year, but that’s what Bowl PRACTICE is for. The Bowl game is about giving it one last shot with this group and seeing if we can grab a 7th win.

Next year's QB might not even be in the program yet

Terion Stewart posted on Instagram this evening that he is officially back next year. Sounds like he sorted out whatever hurdles he needed to overcome, and he’ll be a huge boost for this offense next year. Glad to hear 4 will be back in the fold.

I wonder if that will prompt one or more of the current stable to throw in on the portal?

Not sure if anyone tracks how many games played for FR but NCAA passed a waiver for Redshirt rule for bowl season this year

Meaning guys can potentially play in a 5th game this season while still maintaining their eligibility? Because right now, they can play 4 and keep their redshirt.

Correct. Redshirted players can play in a bowl game and not have it count against their four-game limit.
