A walk on led the team in minutes last night? I think that says a lot of things about this program and it’s not just because of his dad.

Every possession where he touches the ball it looks like he is trying to show off his entire bag in order to get scouted. It's either a shot for him (80% + of the time) or an assist from him. There will be no resetting. The offense will live or die in his hands.

He may well be the most gifted individual offensive player we have had since Antonio Daniels. But he has no idea how to play as a team. And does not contribute to winning. So the individual talent is meaningless.
Absolutely spot on. Straight up losing basketball.

I won't blame him though. We've seen this exact thing with every player who was tapped as our lead guy since Huger got here. At this point it is inarguable that this is what he wants.

We refuse to play any of Oneal, Towns and Agee together. Which is a bummer because I think both Towns and Agee are agile enough and decent enough shooters to share the floor with each other easily, and even with Oneal for 3-5 minutes here and there. And with Etim, Felt and Diarra all not playing AT ALL, there's nobody else left who can play any forward when Turner is hurt.

I have to say, I really loved Elsasser in that game. Kid battled hard all the time and did not make boneheaded plays. He's not really quick enough to stop opposing guards, but he will hustle and scrap and do some good work as a forward. Even saw him sky for a couple rebounds and had to double take on who I just saw do that. Took smart shots. Saw him bend the defense and then dish to Agee inside.

I am OK with Elsasser playing., I wish he was 2 or 3 inches taller. But I trust him on the floor more than half the guys that are supposed to be better than him.
