But they’re not showing any transfers, and we still have signing day in February to get through. Sounds like we still plan to add like 12-13 more guys, so obviously a lot can change.

But we really do need to hit on these late commitments or it’ll be a rough class. Brutal, considering this should’ve been the easiest year to recruit, with our on-field success relative to the rest of the Loeffler era.

If you are an offensive player (with multiple REAL options), particularly a QB….. why would you come here ? Anyone analyzing/asking around about the offense would definitely go elsewhere, IF they have an option.

Sl could tap into that Mission Viejo/MattMcDonald connection for QB Peter Costelli. **** QB out of HS...signed with Utah, transferred to Troy where he sat behind their starter and Doege.

The GDP of Bowling Green, OH couldn't produce enough NIL money to get me to even return a phone call to play in this offense. I suppose perhaps as a RB or TE I'd be intrigued. But as a QB/WR it'd be a quick HELL NAW. Even as a linemen all too often our line is hung out to dry, so I wouldn't want that either.

IT takes about 1 Saturday of watching college football to know BG is one of the worst offensive schemes in the country. I don't know how we get commitments at those positions at all (kudos to SL, actually, because he's somehow managed a pretty good WR group).

Even an old school guy like Harbaugh adjusted to the modern game. McCarthy runs that RPO offense so well...they can go deep, they can incorporate the TE's and they can jus line up and smash you. It's been a fascinating process to watch from the days they had Joe Milton and Shea Patterson starting

All these coaches can incorporate any scheme. They just have to choose to.

I hope against hope the offense is modified for whoever gets the job in 2023. I cannot see anyone either currently on the roster or being brought in form the portal picking up on everything within 6-7 months.

So it is safe to say that next years QB is not on the roster. Feel sorry for those brought in and sold a bunch of BS…. Or they had no idea we were running an offense that comes with a Members Only jacket with built in shoulder pads.

To be clear, it’s not my opinion that a viable QB is not on the roster….

I’ve said this before… we need to take a SOLID look at Owen Bainbridge, he has a strong arm, is pretty mobile, though nor a true dual threat guy. He was injured about half way through his senior season in HS which may of affected his development. But he was a solid player in HS. I recall Matt Johnson sitting his true freshman yr.,but when he took over he was solid.
I’m not saying Owen is another Johnson, but we need to look and hard.

Neither had any other significant offers from what I can tell, but Trimaine Brown Jr. has potential to be the fastest player here since Scotty Miller. That's significant, potentially game-changing speed.
