Hopefully that is enough to send Scot to go coach TEs somewhere else.

We’re 5-8 now. Something like 1-6 in our last 7, though.

SL better field a more talented team next year or it’s going to be much of the same. We have a couple of talented guys but for the most part we have a lot dudes nobody else wants. This coaching staff should be fired if they can’t recruit better.

Now it’s time to announce the extension & continue the lowest of standards.

Was at the game and watching a replay now. I was struck at the game by how few snaps Brooks seemed to be on and how little impact he made when he played. No idea how many snaps he usually gets but it seemed really low tonight with even less impact.
0 (zero) tackles for an All American is not the way you want to go out.

It has already been said but if you can’t spy the QB when he is consistently killing you on third and long, that’s on the coaches.

Mobile QBs can do that to you. Brooks was chipped a lot by their running back too which was enough to delay him from getting to the backfield. He had the one PBU and that was about it.

The defensive game plan to try and get to their QB was stupid too. You're better off at being less aggressive and keeping a pocket so the QB has fewer running options. The D-line lost contain several times which allowed him to run free. Even with a spy there probably wasn't much that could be done once he got going.

All in all this game was a microcosm of the entire season. Played half the game, glaring discipline issues, untimely turnovers, lack of overall execution. Really frustrating.

Lots of parents were saying their final goodbyes. We will lose some major talent soon… they have had enough of the SL regime. Don’t kill the messenger, I’m just reporting.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

Anyone else doing the BG tailgate at Gridiron Club at Ford Field?
I think we are heading to the Old Shillelagh and then the game on their bus. That's a cool pub and fun place for pre gaming.
Love The Old Shillelagh - been a family tradition for 20+ years! Will be stopping through for a drink prior to heading over to FF BGSU tailgate. Emailed them- they are open at 10am on 12/26. With my kiddos & MIL and SIL in tow wanted to be sure we could get served etc. so got the official tailgate thing at FF.

Mike- you traveling on Gameday? We’ll be leaving Wadsworth hopefully by 8am!
Great seeing you guys today! Your Family is great!

Yep, this is what happens. Sad. The new NCAA/portal/NIL arena has made everyone accountable coaches and players. I personally hate it, and it's turning the G5 into the minor leagues of P5 football. Not a good thing for college athletics. NCAA needs to get a hold of this before it's too late. If it's not already

As much as it pains me a logical buyout makes sense for football this year. Then Basketball after next year. Both programs are in shambles and will be next year.

Any attrition will be another convenient excuse for Scot to use if and when things go south next year.
