Owen Rozanc is in the portal - he was a transfer kicker last year.

Austin Osborne took a picture with DVDM in the gym this morning, and DVDM made a reference to him preparing for next season. I don’t view it as official confirmation, but it seems to indicate that he will be back next year. Some on here had initially speculated that he would be leaving some eligibility on the table, but that may not be the case.

Yep, 100%. Our "rushing" attack isn't very scary. We averaged 101 yards a game in 2021...and in 2022, 99 yards a game. That is poor, at best. Our O line is still subpar after 4 years and teams know we have to throw.
Post game Loeffler said everything in the spring will be based on running the ball...so if I'm a WR or QB...why sign/stay? And if you know how to fix the running game in the spring...why haven't you done so already?
So, that is the setup for next years failure. “We said when we left Detroit that we will be revamping our team to run the ball……” That is why the team won’t be able to throw next year, it was total focus on running the ball.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

Justin Schiets in the portal. Was the player who organized the Christmas fundraiser every year, so a great contributor off the field. Good luck to him.

Dominic Konopka is in the portal - listed as a long snapper. Not sure he played this year.

You’re correct that he didn’t play this year - redshirt freshman George Carlson played every game as the long snapper. I’d imagine it’s his job for the foreseeable future.

Konopka wasn’t likely a scholarship player when he came here last summer. He was a late flip from UConn, where he was a PWO guy. But since he’s gone in the portal, he does have an actual scholarship offer from UConn, so I would bet that’s where he lands.

Curious why you think he has a scholarship offer from UConn? Most specialists don’t get scholarship’d until they start…

He tweeted that he had been offered by UConn. He didn’t call it a scholarship, but he had distinguished in his “offer” from FAMU that it was a PWO there and didn’t otherwise, so I had just assumed. He didn’t make that distinction when posting about Florida Atlantic or Old Dominion. I suppose that could mean it’s indeed a PWO, but I wouldn’t phrase it that way if it was me.

Either way, I think it’s likely he lands there.

Apparently Knopka entered the day it opened, like 3 weeks ago. Scholarship not likely until starting.

As it looks now, how many are IN the portal now? Despite Scots comments about running football I think it’s highly unlikely that we ignore throwing. If those WR s DO leave it’s either lack of PT, or preference for a more wide open offense. ( which doesn’t mean running exclusively).

I viewed his postgame commitment to the run comments as a way to keep our RB from looking elsewhere. . .

I don’t think they even listen to his pressers. I was kind of surprised to learn from groups of kids over the last few years that they don’t. I mentioned to players I heard he said This, or heard him say that…. They didn’t even know or care, at all.
