I don’t think they even listen to his pressers. I was kind of surprised to learn from groups of kids over the last few years that they don’t. I mentioned to players I heard he said This, or heard him say that…. They didn’t even know or care, at all.
And that's the way it should be. It's "coach speak" in front of a microphone. Players shouldn't be paying attention to it.

Anders and Broden into the portal. That’s bad…you can blame the coaches for those two leaving. They messed with their playing time/ targets too much.

Didn’t think Anders was coming back to begin with. I’m guessing the “6th yr” stuff is messing with kids heads… and coaches as well. Hard to keep track of where these kids fit “ eligibility wise” , especially if they redshirted along the way.
Losing Broden is a BIG loss IMO, no pun intended.. guessing a likely power 5 possible.. :(

I felt like Anders played a ton, so this is a little surprising to me. I figured he would move on because he’s a really talented and likely very desirable guy for P5 programs, but not because of playing time. Sheesh.

Good luck to those gentlemen.

Anders got rotated out considerably the last two seasons. The average observer would not notice. He was a dedicated warrior. I knew Broden was going to . 6’6 with a 5’7 corner on him at bowl game, and two targets, was the coffin nail. Brodens fan group At the bowl game was livid.

Update: Broden already getting a ton of action, minutes into it.

And here comes some of the transfer blows some of us feared....Anders has been a very solid player, but stamina has been an issue for him. His production before and after 2/3 of a game or so was noticeable. Still, I liked his effort and production and he's a good player. The Broden loss really sucks because I feel and have felt the staff really, really mismanaged/misued him. He's the tallest WR in all of FBS football. He has great speed for a guy his size. So why not utilized it for Christ's sake?! While he has had some issues with drops, we never fully utilized his skillset like we coulda/shoulda. He is an incredible target with that kind of size and speed, and instead of using it to our advantage, we'd dink and dunk with our TE's. Meanwhile, Loeffler continued to talk about how he'll play in the NFL one day, but rarely targeted him. If you feel he has that kind of talent, why the hell don't you get him the damn ball?! This isn't just a loss of a player, this is a loss of really good player not utilized properly by the staff IMO. Watch what happens when this kid goes to a school that will do what BG didn't. And if he does make it to the NFL, we'll have even more woulda/coulda/shoulda talk to go around. This departure doesn't just hurt, it pissed me the hell off (directed at our own staff's part in the equation).

Crap!! We're already losing a big chunk of talent on D...now we're losing Anders. Broden is 6-7 and can fly...tremendous catch radius and he was our...what...4th option? Why on earth would a guy with NFL tools stick around for that?

Jeremiah Banks-Wall is in the portal. He played in 3 games this season after starting each of the past 2 years at left tackle. Another pretty tough loss. This is depressing.

He got ditched for the transfers this year. Not surprised he is gone.

Yeah, Broden already has an offer from Pitt. JB Brown has offers from Kansas and Arkansas St (the latter being close to his hometown).

Bear in mind some of these kids would be gone anyways if not for the extra covid year due to graduation. The more talented kids are obviously going to move on. This is the nature of college football now until a new governing body can take over and get this under control. The NCAA really doesn't care anymore because of all the litigation they've had to deal with. It's the wild west and the G5 are going to be poached into further irrelevance.

It’s the Wild Wild West and Bowling Green fans are being sold a 10 year rebuild and an archaic offense. Oh, and we still haven’t seen a real quarterback.
