Gabbert is back at Miami..or so they say.
Keeping Anders would be great
OL Globe linked to, Zac Elam played at DII West Florida...another case of us looking at lower levels

His only offer so far seems to be Jacksonville State, so I can’t imagine that is an offer to his liking.roguewarrior wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 8:28 am Possibility to retain Anders was left open, if he doesn’t get an offer to his liking.

Re: 2022 Transfer Portal
Well, they just went 9-2, moving up to C-USA and Rich Rod is their HC
Re: 2022 Transfer Portal
Fair, but using the last eligible year on a transition year still can’t be the most attractive situation, unless RichRod as coach and Alabama weather are selling points.

Broden on OV at Oklahoma
Re: 2022 Transfer Portal
Tyrone Borden’s offers since entering the portal:
Penn State
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Syracuse
Colorado
West Virginia
Arkansas
Houston
Texas A&M
Washington State
Pitt
Nick Saban could be the coach at BG and he’s not keeping a guy that can get that on the open market. So I feel like we really just can’t blame Loeffler for this. It’s great that we develop talent, but we can’t expect to keep guys like this.

Re: 2022 Transfer Portal
Maybe...maybe not. WTF is a guy getting that kind of interest...a guy with an NFL tools...getting so few opportunities in our offense. I think it's an indictment of Loeffler as a coach that he didn't give him a reason to stay by featuring him morembenecke wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 1:02 pmTyrone Borden’s offers since entering the portal:

Correct. Not mad at him leaving but very mad at the way he was used while he was here.Flipper wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 1:15 pmMaybe...maybe not. Re: 2022 Transfer Portal
Broden was guilty of not consistently getting separation or else he would have had the ball thrown his way more. Programs are rightfully salivating at his length but he's far from a finished, polished product. Good for him though.Flipper wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 1:15 pmMaybe...maybe not. Re: 2022 Transfer Portal
The thing about being 6'7" on the outside in the MAC (or elsewhere for that matter) is that you don't *need* that much separation. Half of his catches this season he had someone all over him but it was up where only he could get it. His wingspan and his vertical were both insane. He should have been targeted every time he had one-on-one.jpfalcon09 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 1:47 pmBroden was guilty of not consistently getting separation or else he would have had the ball thrown his way more. Re: 2022 Transfer Portal
Perhaps it's best to lay it at the feet of the QB then instead of the coaches for not getting him the ball enough.BillyLP wrote: ↑Fri Jan 06, 2023 2:09 pmThe thing about being 6'7" on the outside in the MAC (or elsewhere for that matter) is that you don't *need* that much separation.
