Absolutely bogus “holding the stick” call on Taylor Schneider just now. BG had all the momentum and was skating 5x4, but Taylor draws a ridiculous call there. You could clearly see him raise both arms up the entire time they were tied up to try to break free. That’s an example of the officials killing momentum for no reason. CCHA always has to make things “fair.”

And as I’m typing this, another BG penalty. That one is probably a good call, but it also probably doesn’t happen without the bogus penalty on Schneider.

The worst thing about this conference is undoubtably the inconsistent and often nonsensical officiating.

And of course, if you give them enough chances, they will capitalize.

3-1 Falcons halfway through the game. Gotta bounce back.

BGSU Goal: Ryan O’Hara with a nice tip through the LSSU goalie’s five hole and BG leads 4-1. Great response.

LSSU gets behind the defense and puts another past Stoever. It’s 4-2 with 5 minutes to play in the second. Need a response here.

And now a pretty bogus penalty call for interference on Emerson…

Boy, some very questionable play on our part and some questionable calls against. Air is out of the Slate.

END OF TWO: BG leads LSSU 4-2.

Shots are 28-16 in favor of the Falcons.

Gotta finish. I have a feeling 4 isn’t going to be enough to win, so we’re gonna need a goal here.

Defense is not playing like they did last night.

And I have to agree with pdt ahead of time about the officiating.

LSSU adds another tally to make it 4-3 BG. Did not love that effort from Stoever. Seemed like he completely took his body out of it.

Less than 3 to play…

To say we’ve been playing like dog s**t this period would be an insult to dog s**t. Empty net. Gut check time.

BGSU Goal: Swankler buries one as time expires. I think it’s gonna count, but they didn’t go back out and do a face off, so I’m not certain.

Either way, BG gets the 6-point sweep on the weekend to solidify 2nd place in the CCHA.

Swankler tied for second in total points across D1.

Back to back nights with 5 different guys scoring a goal.

The depth on this team is starting to pop. We’re putting it together at a time where we would normally be falling back to the pack.

Folks, there might be a preview on Monday for next week’s series.

For as disappointing as this team is, at least they can sweep the teams that need to be swept. Even Berge's best squads couldn't do that.
