AKRON
Always a tough game. Castenada hasn't played a MAC game yet but I'd assume he's good to go tonight as the line jumped to +4. I'm gonna keep the faith, 73-68 good guys. Here's to 3-0!

Also pretty excited for an Agee/Enrique Freeman matchup.

Re: AKRON
Akron has had BG's number for what seems like an eternity. Zips played a good non-conference schedule so they're battle tested. Expect a fun game.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: AKRON
Going to be pessimistic and say that Akron runs away with this one in the 85-68 range. Our only chance is the Curtis/Agee connection being on point all night.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Re: AKRON
Looking forward to seeing what tonight brings. Overall I'm still relatively pessimistic, but the past 2 games have made me step back and re-think what this team can be. Still highly doubtful we're near the top of the conference when it's all said and done, but maybe we can become middle of the pack? Early this season it looked as if 5 MAC wins was going to be wishful thinking, now I'm not so sure.
Of course we never beat Akron and they played a MUCH more difficult schedule than us (which is why they're 125 or so spots higher in Kenpom). Expectations are low, but they've given us some hope.

Re: AKRON
I haven’t been to a game in the Stroh since the pitiful 91-66 game against them last year. A win tonight would go a long way in getting me thinking about getting back in the building for another game.
Come on, Falcons!

As an aside....another WHITEOUT!?
Does anybody actually own white BGSU gear? We're not Penn State. Make it orange. Hell make it brown (although it'll look like s**t, literally). Whiteout is dumb.

Re: AKRON
Yeah, I think whiteouts are fine for any school and can look cool every now and then, especially when you're expecting a sellout, but in an arena with brown seats where they'll be lucky to get 2,500, they are just highlighting the emptiness. An orange out would look much better and fit the typical wardrobe much more.

Re: AKRON
Yeah the attendance component is also part of it. I was pleasantly surprised by the turnout on Saturday, but these weeknight games this year have been a ghost town. I'd be stunned at 2500. 1500 might be optimistic.BillyLP wrote: ↑Tue Jan 10, 2023 2:04 pmYeah, I think whiteouts are fine for any school and can look cool every now and then, especially when you're expecting a sellout, but in an arena with brown seats where they'll be lucky to get 2,500, they are just highlighting the emptiness. I don't think students are back in town yet are they? I don't think we've had 300 students to a game all year anyhow...
