Everyone, everywhere needs to deep six that stupid song....it is annoying and sucks, especially at sporting events.

The combo of Towns and Agee is by far the best combo of bigs in the Huger era. For the first time since Wiggins, we have both protection at the rim, and guys who can score in multiple ways without needing the ball. The perimeter defense has improved but is still lacking. Mills shooting of late has been a much added bonus. The much shorter bench has helped too. Play your best players.

1000%. Always wonder how good those Turner/Frye/Plowden teams would have been with a guy like Agee...

I just never understood how the recruitment of Mattos, Swingle, or O’Neal ever made any sense. The way they play is the opposite of the way Huger wanted to play. The Covid year BG would have been the best team in the MAC and probably not close with a big like Agee.

He constantly fills the back end of the bench with slow a foot bigs that don't match todays game or how he wants to play. We have like 3 on the roster today and none of them play.

To Huger's credit he has basically stopped playing them (Minus first half 2 foul prison, Towns getting banged up at end of first half) when O'Neal came in and his rotation defensively was in slow motion on the final three of the half.

Looking at the play by play, Curtis missed a layup to tie the game with 1 second left on the clock. Given my expectations for the match-up a month ago, I'll take this. We are playing significantly better ball than I thought we could. We are not great or anything. Might not even actually be GOOD. But we are definitely not terrible. And likely not even bad (by MAC standards).

Turner got his 2nd foul early in the first half and sat the rest. He played his usual minutes in the 2nd half despite picking up his 3rd like a minute in.

Metheny played a great game. Wish he would have gotten a shot to win or tie at the end.

Me too, but he has to find his way through the wash on that first play out of the TO. That or we needed to put somebody else on the other side of the floor so there were less people to work through. Either way, he was the option (and Huger said so in the postgame). It's fun having Matheny back to the guy that every time he takes an open shot you think it's going in.

Ultimately...they lost because Akron was able to force them into taking shots they didn't want to take. It's tough to win if you can't get your shots
