About to be swept on a weekend we should have gotten 6 points. We have culture issues. We have defensive issues. We have coaching issues.

This isn’t good at all, folks.

I’ve defended Alex Barber for 4.5 years, but man… what is he doing? That penalty was so, so pointless. You’re playing defense 150+ feet from the net. Get in position! Quit reaching for no reason.

Did the feed cut out for everyone or just me?

Edit: so how did it end? I saw Gresock’s goal then the feed cut.

It officially ends in a tie after 3x3 OT, and BG adds the extra point, winning the shootout 2-1.

Falcons get 2 points in a weekend where they realistically needed 5 or 6. Damn.

The team got my hopes up after last weekend. Sigh.

If it makes anyone feel better, I think Mankato dropped a point to last place LSSU tonight.

Burke miss (saved), St. Thomas make.

Gresock make, St. Thomas miss (saved).

T. Schneider make, St. Thomas miss (post).

It wasn’t pretty, but it was 2 points just the same.

How nice it would be for coaches to have access to replays before the puck drops.

Pathetic weekend.

I fully expect to be in 4th or 5th next time we are in CCHA action. Good teams and programs seldom let opportunities slip away. Hope is all this program gives, hope to win, hope to host a first round playoff series, hope to make the NCAA tournament once every 30 years. Good coaches, good players, good programs expect to do things. Someone mentioned a culture problem.....ding, ding ding.

As far as our fearless leader and captain Barber. If he never dresses another game I'd donate more money. Brutal leadership, that C may stand for Cowardly.

Rico is a good coach…he made a couple bad assistant hires at Miami and it caught up to him. They definitely play a borderline dirty style, but they also play hard and can create some trouble on their forecheck. He does a unique 2-1-2 that is aggressive on the forehand wrap and also cheats to take away the reverse. You need D men who can gain possession, use the net and skate to force the high man to commit. That usually breaks it, but it’s easier said than done. Usually it’s a lot of wall battles and if your wingers aren’t strong on the puck it can cause problems. Not surprising at all they are more competitive.
