BG - KSU predictions

Post by Metz »

I've heard a lot of positives and negatives from people off this site so I was just curious what everyone on here thinks.

Everytime I make a prediction it's wrong so I'm just going to leave it to the experts (aka everyone else).

BG 81
KSU 75

That score sounds familiar doesn't it.

This is a really hard one to predict. I think I'm going to have to go with my heart over my gut this time, which I usually don't do.

BG 74 KSU 72.

Kate hits two free throws with under 10 seconds and a last second 3 by KSU falls short.

I think we get beat by 15 or so , which probably wont' be bad considering how good KSU is, but you never know. Both OSU and New Mexico Lobos beat us by 30+ points but that was many months ago. We are better team now, but it'll be interesting to see how play against a Big12 power like K-State. I went to K-States website roster and they arent the biggest team we have ever faced but they are probably very good shooters allaround and probably very good defensively. The main thing with K-State is they have 4 or 5 seniors on their team. It will interesting to see how we handle the pressure , especially Kate. We must establish an inside game against them if we have any hope of competing. If we launch 30 or 40 3's in this game we will be crushed I'm afraid. I don't think we can repeat the Mac Tourney Final's performance at the 3 quite that easily. If we are that lucky from "downtown" then it could get very interesting. Oh and another thing, if we also get a fair whistle we might have chance as well, cuz we can't have Ali or Liz or Kate getting 4 fouls early in the 2nd half. Fouls could kill us if that gets out of hand. Hopefully the girls will just play calm and loose and hard.
I won't give a score. I kinda think its pointless.

So optimistic Falconboy, would you say we have a 1 out of 100 chance or a 1 out of a million chance of winning? http://www.reelwavs.com/movies/dumb_and ... umb42b.wav

KSU is unfortunately playing without one of its senior guards who injured her ankle this past weekend. She averaged I think almost 10 points a game, and 5 assists per game. That could be something positive to build on.

No unfortunate for us, because after we beat KSU you will hear all the excuses about how they were short one of their better players.

I think falconboy brings up some good points. If I take off my orange and brown glasses (which RARELY happens), I don't see BG winning. Competing, yes. Winning, not likely. We simply cannot rely on the outside shot only. We MUST get some scoring in the paint. Wildcats 74, Falcons 60.

Lucky for me I rarely remove the glasses.

BG 70, K-State 67. Liz Honegger launches a baseball pass down the court and nails a trey after K State ties the score with 1.5 seconds left.

Hey, it could happen....

This would be a HUGE win if it happens. GO FALCONS!!!

I can't predict scores worth a damn, but I've got a good feeling about the game. The girls are gonna show the rest of the country what BG is made of, and send Kansas back with nothing.
Not to be confused with Poptartin
