I just… I don’t get it. The goal light went off and our guys were celebrating. How can play continue when there are off ice factors at play here? And why wouldn’t they even look at it?

We’re obviously so mediocre it hurts. But I would just like an explanation of what the hell happened there.
As long as no official on ice blows the puck dead then the game continues. Best guess is the in-zone referee saw it didn't go in. The goal judge flipping the light on doesn't really mean anything.
I get that the light doesn’t necessarily mean anything, but the players stopped. The team was confused. Just seems weird that they wouldn’t even then look at it to make sure on the other side of the whistle.

Whatever. Our powerplay was 0/5 on the night. Incompetence reigns supreme once again.

Third period collapses, February skids……It’s all part of the Eigner “Mystic”.

Well the basketball teams in even worse shape so no way they pay two buyouts in one year….so he’ll be back for another 3rd place trophy and home ice collapse….LOL.

At 10K a suite in the new build out they are gonna have to do something…..nobody paying 10K for this crap.

10K to build or 10k to use? I hadn’t seen this figure thrown around. Would love more context if it wasn’t just an exaggeration.

Need him healthy for playoffs. I wouldn’t have played him at all.

They sent out a survey to Falcon Club and season ticket holders asking lots of questions about the suites, what pricing should be considered, what amenities should be included/added on, etc. It was pretty comprehensive and I base that on having had the opportunity to plan a skybox event at the United Center for a Bulls game -- I give them credit for touching all the right bases. They also inquired about chair back seating as well as club seating. They are mulling over the concept of temporary chairback seats that would see action in the Doyt during football season and moved to the Slate for hockey season but from the conversation I had I don't get the sense they're completely sold on the idea. $10k for one of the suites? Well, that depends on your objectives and remember you're looking at a minimum of 6 people per box. They did ask specifically what we thought the pricing should look like and I recall I put something in the $8k neighborhood (can't remember exactly). Club seating and pricing was also in the questionnaire. Don't forget suites aren't generally sold to individual schlubs like me, they're sold to corporate folks. Oh...another way to sell a suite for $10k is to put a product on the ice that doesn't crap the bed the last weekend of the season. That would be nice.

NOTE TO THE ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT HIGHER UPS IF YOU SCAN AZZ.com - You want to sell a skybox for $5-10k? Provide a base level of amenities then work through add ons for beer, booze, and food. Then run around Toledo and market the heck out of the experience to the local businesses. 10k for a season, right? There’s no way anyone would ever drop 10k on a game. Not a chance. If that’s really what they want, they’re wasting their time.

All of that just to get swept. Massive bummer.

On a side note - does anyone know how much an ice box costs? Is that a season ticket/Falcon Club thing or can you get one for a single game? That’s the type of thing that I think would be fun to do once, but I like my normal seats in Section E too much to sit elsewhere for a full year.

Ferris is slumping even worse than us at the moment. This weekend they were swept by Lake State, who have been in the bottom 5 of Pairwise all season, and the weekend prior they gave up 17 goals. For as bad as we are I still think we have to be the clear favorites.
It's going to depend on if Ferris is allowed to play a cheap game. BG has no problem with a physical game. When teams are allowed to play cheap, like tonight and the last games against Ferris, they struggle. It's still the "don't take a penalty" bullshit around here that the cheap stuff after the whistle messes with their heads. During actual play, it's usually whatever happens, play it. After the whistle penalties are looked at as "lack of discipline," yet nothing gets called without a retaliation.

When they first showed up, it was only for the $500 and above Falcon Club donors. Not sure if that's still the case, as there are empty ones every game.

McInchak. He was horrible in the 90s, and still hasn't changed. Someone asked Eigner about it in the post game. He was obviously frustrated, and not with his players.
...
McInchak was my most-despised referee until Langseth.
