EMU

Post by TommyG »

Eastern has been playing their best basketball the last 3 weeks or so. Obviously BGSU is not.
Lines opened at BG -4 and are slowly creeping the other way. BG -3 is latest I’ve seen.
ESPN matchup predictor gives BG a 75% chance to win. I have no idea how accurate that is but seems a little high.

Neither team defends. Eastern really struggles to guard the 3point line. My guess is BG will try to take a lot of them and if they make them they’ll probably win, if they don’t they’ll probably lose. I’ll be most interested to watch Emoni and BG’s body language/effort.

Let’s see if the losing streak reaches 10 against this 8-21 team…

So tonight, Huger takes his 125-124 Falcons (10-19 this season) to what should be his last two games as coach at BG. I hate to root against the home team, but if it means certain firing, I'm for it.

Go Falcons in 23-24.

2 things so far...

1. LaMonte Stone is on the EMU bench. Good to see him. Always like him.
2. Bates looks like he weighs 68 pounds...55 without the tats.

Bates is skinny af but he's also so blatantly obviously the most talented player on the floor. That jumper with his length will play.

Without a doubt. Can't believe he was the #5 prospect out of hs and playing at EMU. Guess it a diffence if you follow the rules.

Kids here by me said he was sick and that's why he didn't start? He definitely looks "off" compared to when I saw him earlier this year. Even though the team around him is playing a lot more...earlier they'd all just stand and watch him play.

And I'm pretty sure he just yacked in the trash can at the end of the bench.

I saw that too. Also saw Townes tie his shoe while the ball was in play.

Losing streak ends at 9, but I’m deathly terrified this somehow saves his job if we luck into a trip to Cleveland.

We would need to win at ohio to get to Cleveland and I can't see that happening.

None of the only 3 scorers on eastern were on tonight. Figured with bates being sick Acuff and farrakhan would step up but neither were very involved. Acuff averages about 15 and didn't make a bucket until halfway through the second half

I mean after a win like that…you have to bring him back. Maybe even extend him a 3rd year thru 25-26.
