Chase Pletzke from Miami State is also in the portal. If the name sounds familiar, he was originally committed here and headed south with Berge, Barry, and Jimmy. His line this year in 20 games was 0/0/0.

Here's a link to a pretty good portal tracking page run by Gopher Puck Live: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

Um...I'm not sure what to make of the last name in the list. Seems encouraging, but my pessimistic nature won't let me wrap my brain around it.

I had the same thought when I saw that tweet. It probably means nothing, but he’s been in town playing golf and partaking in items like this that others on the team are doing.

Guess we’ll see…

Certainly can't be bad news.

He made a connection with Princeton assistant coach Stavros Paskaris, which led to his going there. Between that and Ron Fogarty, BG may have gotten his attention.

Bergeron not only lost his best forward to the portal, he just lost his rock star goaltender. I don't see how keeps his job beyond next season.

Joey Larson from Northern is in the portal. Went 13/14/27 in 36 games this past season and has 3 years of eligibility left. Apparently he is the highest scoring player to enter the portal so far.

Edit: And Savage is heading to Sparty town.

Since we’re on #SwanklerWatch around here, I figure we are gonna be on pins and needles until we know something. Which means… time to read into every little thing.

Perhaps another clue - he posted an ad for the stick tape he uses on Instagram today, and he’s sitting in his BG hockey stall for it.

Three goaltenders in the portal:

Clarkson (G) Ethan Haider (2 YOE)
Wisconsin (G) Jared Moe (1 YOE)
UNH (G) David Fessenden (1 YOE)

Fessenden played at UAH if that name sounds familiar.

Are we thinking we might get involved with someone in the portal? I had assumed not, with Moore coming in and Evola/Eigner still here, in addition to Stoever.

Tommy Pasanen, a 6'4 defenseman from Germany, has committed to playing for BG out of the portal, after 2 seasons at Clarkson.

I asked FloHockey’s Chris Peters if he had heard anything about Swankler. He said he hadn’t heard anything definitive, but he doesn’t think the market was as robust as was previously believed in terms of NHL opportunities.

Let the speculation begin. https://www.gophnx.com/2023/03/25/state ... reg-powers
Question: It is widely viewed as advantageous to NCAA Tournament hopes to play in a conference, due to the automatic bids or the possibility of earning a bid via conference tournaments. Canisius earned a bid as the No. 41 team in the PairWise rankings by winning the Atlantic Hockey Conference tournament, and No. 25 Colgate earned a bid by winning the ECAC tournament. Is there anything new you can tell Sun Devils fans about the program’s efforts to join a conference and that timeline?

Powers: “Yeah. It’s incredibly promising right now. That’s all I can say.”

Any chance that means they're joining the NCHC with Mankato? I paradoxically think that's somehow the most likely and least likely scenario.
