WE have been through like three daycares so soon. Can't wait for the crapshoot of older grades.
We have a private sitter for our son. She goes to our church and was a receptionist for a dentist. Decided she wanted to step away from that world and asked if we had a sitter lined up since she did babysitting before she went into the dental field. We've loved every minute of this experience. She watches, on average, 5 kids a day. We pay $135/week. Definitely not going to get rich doing that, but she makes decent enough money that is probably consistent with her previous wages, she saves on gas, and she gets to do something she enjoys. We know her and we know the other families. It makes a huge difference.

Now, the K-12 system in our town...the town Facebook group of busybodies has a huge contingent of people that "don't trust the school" and feel the teachers are all out to get the kids. I know a lot of the teachers personally; it's a good school with good people. I've also met some of the people in that contingent. Yeah, they're the problem, not the school.

I know, totally off topic. Sorry for the tangent.

Allen was the guy I had added to my "want" list from their current roster. Athletic, good with the ball, great passer. I figured he was a longshot, though, since he is from Utah and hasn't left for community college or NCAA. I think he'll end up being a target for Utah, BYU or Utah State.
Simon has officially reached out to Allen to come to BG, but he's also heard from the three schools I mentioned, plus UNLV, Nebraska, and a few other solid programs.

Attended more games than any responsible student should have.

Weirdos, all of them
I would say you are a pretty closed minded and pretty hypocritical. Lumping any one group based on one individual just because of religious beliefs should not be tolerated here. I am a Christian and have no problem with a Christian education. My son went to BGCA in bg until high school. You got a problem dude.

These latter comments have nothing to do with 2023-24 recruiting at BG. Move it to Mostly Free For All and go at it.

Can’t wait to see how we’re going to resolve the culture war in the U.S. on a BGSU basketball thread about 2023-2024 recruiting. Good luck guys! I’m sure you’ll take care of it. Maybe I’ll check back in 25 years or so after I retire to see if you came to a solution. 😨

I was just messing around with Flipper. We like to bust eachothers balls. He is good at it. I am getting better.

I went to catholic school until college. Was religious until I got to learn about all religions and thought it was strange that I happened to be following one just based on who I was born to even though three major religions all believe in the same old testament and then go in different directions. Decided I wasn't wise enough to be the one to choose one. The recent political climate of weaponized religion to further disenfranchise already disenfranchised groups they don't agree with based on a political book passed down orally for 1000 years and the support for the greedy, serial philanderer over the guy who went to church every week really sealed things for me.

Still you can believe whatever you want. My wife is religious. My parents are too. Religion does a fantastic job of building great communities. I am sad they are losing so many people. I wish they had adapted. I was just messing with Flipper and surprised a guy would transfer to Liberty. Liberty isn't Loyola. It isn't Detroit Mercy. It's not a college built on religious ideals but open to lots of schools of thought. You get in trouble for holding hands too long there.

Why do people get so weird over a simple discussion?
