Needs operation, needs rehab, needs rest, will play with brace??
She had surgery a year and a half ago. Did she re-injure it? I must've missed that. I had assumed she finished the year healthy.

I wish her the best...but I would not be surprised to see her transfer back to a MAC school in a year or so.

The one real issue I had with Fralick as a coach at BG was the lack of recruiting height and developing players in the post. The only real post threats she ever had were holdovers from the prior coach, and Day, who was a transfer in.

Dzieken and Hill did show marked improvement with increased playing time down the stretch, but were never a real threat. Hopefully Chmiel can get them to the next level...he has a solid track record in that area.

I don't think so. I assume he's just referring to the massive brace she wore all year. She never seemed quite back to freshman year Lexi Fleming until we got to the WNIT. I think she'll just continue to get stronger in the offseason and be a star next season.

Hopefully...we won't lose any of the incoming freshmen...esp Kennedy Blair
Hopefully Chmiel will be able to keep one from the old guard while filling out the rest with his own folks. Perhaps pull someone up from SC. Could never hurt to have more people from that kind of program on board.

Pretty sure Cameron, Kasza, Whymer and Rosati are all heading to Michigan State.
Do you realize Mo has been with the program since the Curt Miller days and that her husband teaches at BGSU?
Yes. I realize both of those things. I still think she's going. I hope I'm wrong.

Article in the Blade discussing Liberty-Benton's Lauren Gerken's (2024 verbal) reopening of her recruiting in the wake of coach Fralick's departure.
Sounds like she's going to weigh her options...she had 16 offers before making the verbal commitment last year. Coach Fralick did call her a couple of days after she left...but there was no mention of any scholarship offer at that point

Tough, but if she stays on this level, we should have a shot. Who wouldn't want to come play for Chmiel, given his resume and national title rings?

Turn around could be fair play for BG. One only has to look at MSU players in the portal. Two would be of interest. 6'0 Swedish product Matilda Ekh was a soph who was on the Big Ten All Freshmen team in 2021-2022. 95% FT shooter and averaged 11.8 PPG in both the last two years. Also, a grad transfer from Cleveland 6'3" Taiyier Parks who scored 8 p/g and 5.2 rebounds last year. Both could be options to fill out the roster though Ekh may have a number of opportunities both in the US and Europe. Parks could, however, come back to Ohio for her last year and add some needed height.

One the one hand...I hate to see players leave...on the other...I understand that this was coach Fralick's team. Coach Chemiel is going to put together a staff...they'll all have their connections with players and potential recruits...even if we take a step back next year (which seems likely) it'll be worth it in the long run as the coach builds his team.

Kind of hilarious that she’s going to Fralick’s main rival. But good for her. Hope she has a good fifth year there. Appreciate her four solid years here.

Very surprised to see that on Twitter....Kim Barnes Arico has had a pretty good 10 year run at Michigan...hasn't win the B1G title yet...but she's been COY twice and has won 20 games every year (except for the 22 game Covid year) she's been there.

I will never blame a kid going for the "bigger" opportunity. That's just the reality of the transfer portal. When we have really good players, they almost certainly will leave.

Side note - when is the last time we put a player in the WNBA? Have we ever, as a program?
