Excited to see what sort of staff coach Chmiel can assemble...he's had to have built some major connections over the years

Side note - when is the last time we put a player in the WNBA? Have we ever, as a program?
Not that I recall. I know we've had a few players get tryouts over the years. I believe Lauren Prochaska was on the roster through camp with Seattle but was cut before the season.

Yeah, we've never had a player drafted. I think Prochaska is the only BG player who ever was in camp with a WNBA team.

Hampton attended last night's awards ceremony.. where she deservedly won best dressed. Smashing brown suit and orange tie...

Happened to see this interesting item on orangeandbrown's blog which was an offer to 6'3" maybe 6'4" Alie Bisballe, Lake City, MI. She is a Jr but her tweet said the basic thank yous to the coaches from BG. Coach Fred and also Nick DiPillo. First time I've seen anything on other staffing. DiPillo has a long background in womens basketball including WNBA, Seton Hall staff, HC at U of Scranton, and Assistant at Pittsburgh. A quiet addition if true but I don't doubt it. Here is the link for the tweet.

Not only did UM land Brett...they also took 6-2 post Taylor Williams from WMU. I recall her being their best player last year when I saw them play

That’s… weird and disappointing.

I get leaving for a bigger school, but another MAC school? Just feels really bizarre. What do they have that we don’t?

That is weird...and yes... disappointing. Gonna be rooting for us to fustigate them next year

Sucks. Makes you feel like it’s a fake investment in your school when the transfer is to a rival in conference. I’m sure that’s not the case and Nyla put in great work here, but that’s how it feels. I can’t imagine her teammates who stayed love it either.

It feels extra weird when she was just posing for pictures at the Ziggy Awards in a brown suit with an orange tie.

I do wish her well - she is an awesome defensive player. But it's stuff like this that makes you wonder what the heck happened. If she was gonna stay in the MAC, it should've been a slam dunk that she would be here next season.

Unfortunately a roster that's closer to a championship. They've got everyone back and adding Hampton might even make them the favorites over East Bancroft High School.

Are they really in a better position than BG? Maybe I’m too high on our own talent, but couldn’t the starting lineup next year be something like Fleming-Velasco-Sharps-Hill-Dziekan? That’s a strong group, to me. Especially if Hampton had returned.
