Earlier in this thread I posted that apparently Nick DiPillo, a veteran coach and previously on staff at Pittsburgh, was noted as on the recruiting trail with Coach Chmiel in a tweet by a 2024 prospect. However, I have not seen anything definitive from BG or the head coach.

I imagine it takes awhile to completely fill a staff...I would also assume it makes more sense to announce everyone once you hire everyone

Completely agree.

This is likely taking longer as he was not a head coach when hired. So he didn't already have several assistants to just bring with him.

Twitter sleuthing...our unnamed asst Nick Dipillo follows a 6-3 post out of Indiana name Cristen Carter...she was committed to Miami prior to signing day but the abrupt coaching change that occured there may have changed he rmind.

I had looked at her also from a list of Miami commitments but don't have twitter so you took it one step further. She is not only a good athlete but smart as well being top 30 in her graduating class.

Turn around could be fair play for BG. .... a grad transfer from Cleveland 6'3" Taiyier Parks who scored 8 p/g and 5.2 rebounds last year ...could be options to fill out the roster. Parks could, however, come back to Ohio for her last year and add some needed height.

Had it right that she might return to the state but wrong school. Committed to OSU.

Per Twitter...they have a number of 2024 offers out to 6-2 and above post players...several from the WV Thunder. Apparently that's one of the top AAU programs in the country.

Except in Toledo. Did not lose anyone including the coach and added what looks like a good recruiting class.
