Ouch…..guess that could best be described as a “parting shot”.

I’m not around enough any longer to know anything about the culture and what may have changed. I do know that the current staff gets their rears handed to them “in game” by other staffs week after week after week…..and have been for a while now.

In my conversations over the past couple of years with parents of kids now departed (transferred out), the change in culture has been noted from the transition between coaching staffs. The on-ice effort and results have reflected that.

CCHA schedule is out. We start the CCHA season on 10/14 with a 2-game tilt at Augustana though it's not really an official league game as the Viqueens are on double secret probation for a year or two (can't remember which). We also play Bemidji and Rico both at home and on the road but only see the Mavs in BG. That means 3 trips out west.

TUPD, I didn't realize Augustana wasn't a full member yet, but you're correct - they aren't playing a full CCHA schedule until 2025-2026.

To my knowledge, the portal closed to new entries on April 30, but they can still add people to the roster until the fall. So as long as someone is in the portal right now, they still have time to pick a team. But if someone went in the portal after this point, they would have to sit a year.

It's a weak conference. Really would have liked to have seen a tougher OOC schedule, even if it meant more away games.

Season ticket renewals open up tomorrow. In the notice there is a new seating option. In section C, every seat will come with orange mesh chairbacks for the same price as bench reserved (sections B, D, F, and G). DVDM mentioned this as a possibility during one of his visits to the ice lounge. Good to see it happening.
