But Scot spent all winterspring focusing on Running The Ball...unless that was just more of the usual BS

If you could promise me that Stewart would stay healthy and in a creative offense get 20+ touches per game, I’d think bowl game would be likely, even with a below avg defense. That isn’t likely, at least the creative offense part…I’d count on 4-8. I think 5 wins is the ceiling. 6 wins would require some big upsets where the other team is extremely injured or turns it over 4-5 times.
I wouldn’t count on Stewart as a savior, at all. Nor would I count on Emmett Smith’s clone being fed the ball in this offense. It just won’t happen.

Stewart is just the one guy I’ve seen some real legitimate talent from. He could be a MAC Offensive POY type player in the right system.
Now in fairness, he may not have the work ethic or maturity to be that type of player either. Im just going off what I’ve seen from him at times.

He is talented. I suspect even if he became citizen of the year and got in tremendous shape, he wouldn’t be fed the ball, as we would all want for a good back.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

Harbaugh is getting a four-game suspension for recruiting violations at Michigan. Obviously means he won't be on the sideline vs. BG on Sept. 16th.

How do you get a recruiting violation in this Wild West time ?!? My friends kid is a 4 star senior in Hs. Got picked up for his official in a limo to his big 10 commit school…. Flew in a private jet, all kinds of perks being sold and a promise of $100k per semester.
It’s not my point of view, it’s a fact.

He contacted recruits during a covid dead period...had too many coaches at a practice...observed video of a practice...bought two recruits cheeseburgers for lunch and was not candid with investigators when asked about it.

Believe it or not....it was the cheeseburger incident that got him suspended.

Back in the mid 2000's this board generated a violation when one of the kids they were recruiting stopped by an AZZ.com tailgate and was graciously fed a few hot dogs. He told the Blade writer about it...he wrote about it...and the University had to self report a violation. The kid paid tne University $10 in restitution and we avoided getting the death penalty.

Its the reason for the pinned post at the top of the forum....tbe kicker of it is, the kid signed here but i dont think he ever played a down

The suspension is because he refused to acknowledge he lied to the NCAA while they were investigating the minor stuff. Lying to the NCAA will get you suspended nowadays - it used to cost you your job.

They play East Carolina, UNLV, BG, and Rutgers. They will be just fine. After hiring a racist son of Bo Schembechler for 2 days and having an assistant fired for “computer related issues” just this off-season, he’s probably getting his karma in a roundabout way.

I'd lie to them too...the whole idea about being asked about cheeseburgers is patently absurd. The NCAA is the ultimate whore in church...treating their questions over $15-20 worth of burgers seriously when millions are paid out to athletes is a joke.

Why they continue to try to maintain the image of amateur student athletes is beyond me

Totally agree. Find me a boss who hasn't lied about something because I want to go work there.

That was our tailgate and the compliance officer from BGSU actually called me to find out what happened. lol. Told the dude we gave the kid a brat, so what? He said "Well believe it or not that is a violation". Incredible. $10 was it, Flip. Hard to believe we committed such a serious offense!

So they can still be tied to schools for fundraising.
